    Without Spot Or Wrinkle

    by Lonnie Mackley  May 24th, 2017

    Some of you may be wondering why we are still in this Christian wilderness and transition, and why it is taking so long; and there are answers to these questions I believe. So if you are sick of traveling around the same old mountains over and over again, and you are hungry to move on, then read on.

    EPH 5:27 He did this to present her to himself as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish. Instead, she will be holy and without fault.

    Jesus Christ is returning for a Bride without spot or wrinkle, and I believe we are that generation of the Bride that will be required to comply with this heavenly mandate. You may have noticed that not only have we been in a wilderness preparation and purification mode for a number of decades now, but within the last few years we have also entered a more intense time of sanctification where God has allowed many fiery trials in order to drive our spots and wrinkles to the surface where we will be forced to face them and get rid of them with His help. And frankly, I do not believe we are going to get out of this until we have complied or died, so there is no point in kicking in screaming about it.

    REV 19:7 Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready.

    So why us; why this generation of the Church? Well Jesus Christ is about to return for one thing and the scripture says that we are the generation that must be made ready. But there is also the great last harvest of souls where we will be the field workers, and we must be able to live holy and stand up against intense warfare such has never been experienced before. So no wonder we are getting hit with warfare continuously because we are being trained to stand up against the higher levels of warfare that are coming. If we cave now and just rail at God because we think He isn’t protecting us properly, then we will likely do it when the more difficult warfare hits. God wants us to be truly ready.

    1PE 4:17 For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God?

    So how do we get through this faster? Well, you need to cooperate with the work of the Holy Spirit as He shows you your weak and blind spots and just own it and comply with His remedies. He will show you the truth and lie behind your sin which will take the fun out of it, and then you will be faced with old triggers until you can make the right decision consistently based upon God’s word. Getting mad at God, blame-shifting, or blowing Him off will just make things much worse. So settling in and cooperating is the fastest way through this. The evil one will try to get you mad at God by distrusting Him, and that is a trap that will just strand you where you’re at; or some may actually go home early.

    The benefits to letting God get rid of your spots and wrinkles are;

    1. You will be ready to meet Jesus when He comes, and by the looks of it that will be very soon.

    2. You will be qualified to be empowered to operate in the power of God since your life is stable.

    3. You will be much less temptable, and much more full of God’s love and fruits of the Holy Spirit.

    4. You will stand during this harvest and time of tribulation where many others will likely fall away.

    HEB 2:10 In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering.

    Be encouraged that if the Lord has selected you for this time of hyper-sanctification that He did so because you can make it through it. How long it takes is up to you. But when you are through it you will no longer be controlled by your sin or character defects. You will live a life of peace and holiness and be greatly blessed of God in every way. You will also be able to help lead the rest of the Church to holiness since you have been through it first. We are the forerunners of what God is going to do with the rest of the Church, so consider this as an honor, not a judgment. The less you struggle the faster it goes; so get through it and don’t give up; because soon you will be without spot or wrinkle!

    REV 22:14 “Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city.
