SIMPLICITY OF LOVE’S LIFTING – Ron McGatlin

The transition transforming the world is probably the most significant upward Spirit movement the world has known since Pentecost.

Love is consuming our lives with Spirit God’s life of love, replacing the leadership of our fallen Adamic life. Our old life is crucified as Spirit Christ’s Love fills our hearts and begins transforming our souls (mind, will, and emotions) and our bodies.

Love lifts us from an earthly-substance-minded view of life to a heavenly-minded reality that releases love and transforms us and the world around us.

Spirit and substance become one in love. The world is being transformed by love into the loving rule of the kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven. Love transcends Spirit and substance, bringing them together as one. Our temporal mortal life becomes Spirit eternal life in love with God.

Coming to God with thanksgiving in high praise and deep worship can bring an overcoming awareness of the presence of God, pouring pure love upon us and within us. In His presence, we are lifted into the Spirit, and we lose the restraints of the weights and disorder of the fallen world. We are free to move with Spirit God, in Christ Jesus, and He in us.

However, is this really how we live and where we walk now, day by day? Or is it just for special conferences, worship gatherings, or maybe Sunday church gatherings?

The transformation is taking us to the fullness of Christ in His kingdom throughout our world.

In the last decade of the second millennium, the 1990s, and now in the first century of the third millennium since Jesus, the 2000s, the lukewarm church began to experience fresh Spirit outpourings of the Holy Spirit in revival and refreshing in outpourings of God with us. At the same time, the gospel of the kingdom began again to be spoken of on earth.

We have continued to walk through ups and downs with continuing sickness and disease, and cultural darkness, mixed with our worshiping and praying, seeking to be closer to God, to have more victorious lives.

We sure hate to admit this, but we are still a lukewarm church in some major areas. Is it possible that, though we may be much warmer than the church at Laodicea or even the church of the 1920s or 50s, we are not really HOT even now?  Yes, we are even now being further transformed.

Jesus is still at the door, knocking. I know that we had let Him in when we asked Him to come into our hearts and save us, so we could be assured of heaven when we die and leave this hard life.

Jesus is still outside the door seeking to come in and be fully ONE with us, to become our life now in every area, doing great exploits, changing the world. Spirit Christ Jesus will do even greater works than He did in His life on earth.

Beyond healing, the fullness of Christ in us will destroy all sickness and disease. Divine health in God and great works of life abundantly will destroy evil and produce the love and goodness of God ruling in our lives and in the world.

All of this and more is now just outside our lives; it is knocking at our door. It is SPIRIT GOD IN THE FULNESS OF SPIRIT CHRIST JESUS, the full power of Jesus fully living in us, His Body on earth. There is nothing more to wait for God to do. All the love, power, and angels of God are now prepared and waiting for His people to BELIEVE.

To really believe that the fullness of Christ Jesus, with all the favor and power of Father God, has come from heaven to now fully live and function in your life and mine, if we will believe and stop looking to a future coming. There is nothing being held back by God. It is finished. Now and only now. Any time we believe it is coming tomorrow, we have lost today. One day at a time, we have let the world remain in a state of lack, with darkness prevailing forever, as we wait for tomorrow.

And we think we are rich with doctrine and teachings and good worship times, but fail to realize that we are yet sickly and afflicted and troubled by darkness, death, and sickness around us and in us. We are naked or unaware of the reality of the full life of Christ and the ways and works of Christ Jesus, fully available now in His people, to rule in His kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.

Revelation 3:15-21, “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. 17 Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked—18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore, be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. 21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. ‘He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’”

LIVE IN THE SPIRIT – WALK IN THE SPIRIT

Galatians 5:25, ^“If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”  

To walk in the Spirit of God is to walk in love and power. Walking in love produces peace, power, wisdom, and prosperity in this life in the world. Walking in the Spirit is walking in love. Love produces wisdom with power as we abide in Christ Jesus, and He fully abides in us, and we are no longer waiting for Him, but open the door fully and forever NOW.

In Spirit Jesus, all things are possible, and we have no frustrating wants in life. Our wants are aligned with what God wants. We do not want for anything that God does not want for us. “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” John 15:7.

We are at peace in the midst of transition or at any season of the changing world. Spirit Christ and Spirit God are one with us, and we are one with Him. We are not lacking, nor waiting on God and Christ to come in the future to be with us in the full power, wisdom, and love. We are one with Christ and God. We are seated on the throne with Him, and He is with us on earth now. Jesus’ prayer for us in John 17 is fulfilled and complete to the level that we believe and receive it today.

JESUS KEEPS HIS WORD AND ALL HE ASKS OF THE FATHER HE FULLY HAS

John 17:20-26, “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.

24 “Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. 25 O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me. 26 And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”

The prayer of Jesus with the disciples was clearly that He (Jesus) would be in them (us) and not just with them. Jesus also clearly said that the Father was in Him and He in the Father as one, and that we would be one with Him.”

Jesus was making it as clear as He could to His disciples that He was coming back, but not in His earthly, physical body, but in them. The disciples had no precedent or understanding of Jesus returning in this manner. Also, they had experienced the Holy Spirit upon them, but not the full reality of the permanent indwelling of Holy Spirit and certainly not as Spirit Christ. He did make it clear that He was coming to them to abide in them as one with the Father.

In John 16, He also made it clear that there was a greater advantage for them and the world in His return to His throne in heaven and in His abiding in them at the same time.

The translation as “Helper” is not a good fit for today’s language. A helper tends to imply an assistant of second-level authority. The Holy Spirit is God-level empowerment and guidance that is always with us, empowering us through our assignment.

John 16:7-15, “Nevertheless, I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. 8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me;10 of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more;11 of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.

12 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. 15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore, I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.”

Who is the “Spirit of truth?” Christ Jesus is the truth.

Jesus is doing the best that He could, considering what they could grasp at that time, to explain that all these things of Him would now be IN THEM.

John 14:15-18, “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to YOU.”

John 14:25-28, “These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. 26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. 28 You have heard Me say to you, ‘I am going away and coming back to YOU.’ If you loved Me, you would rejoice because I said, ‘I am going to the Father,’ for My Father is greater than I.

Yes, He came back to dwell in His disciples. And they reached the known world at that time with the Gospel of the kingdom of God. Now, this transition time is the beginning of the fullness of God in Christ Jesus in His people moving as one in His Body, His Bride/Wife, establishing His kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.

We are not waiting for God to come do something; He is waiting for us to believe. All the angels of God and all creation are supercharged and fully prepared to wipe out darkness and establish the light and life of God and heaven on earth now. Only believe, and all these things and more are possible now.

Today is the day of deliverance for this world and of freedom for believers to put on the immortality of the fullness of Christ Jesus, moving in power and transforming the world into the Kingdom of God, as it is in heaven.

Today we can do all things through Christ, who strengthens us. We are strengthened with all power by His glorious might. All things are possible to us who believe. We are more than Conquerors. Nothing is impossible to Christ in us today.
