How To Be Ready For The Soon-Coming Judgment Seat Of Christ

2CO 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.
Because Jesus is returning very soon we will all be appearing before His seat of Judgment to give an account for the choices we made here and what we spent our time on. We will not be judged for our sins, but rather the works we did here. And based upon the truth of our deeds here we will either receive a reward, or take a loss depending on whether what we did here was in the flesh and out of selfishness, or based upon the Holy Spirit’s direction on what we were supposed to be doing. And in the end our works will be tested with fire and either be burned up, or they’ll stand. So it’s critical that we not waste our time on things that just defile and distract. Plus it is likely that the outcome of this judgment will determine the job placement we will receive for the thousand year reign of Christ.
1CO 3:13 his work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man’s work.
In these days of the Internet, smart phones, online porn, and a myriad of other distractions it can be very easy to just obey our flesh and blow off feeding ourselves spiritually by spending time with God. And rather than trying to fit God into our schedule we should be arranging our schedule around God and what His will is for our day. Not to be legalistic or in the flesh, but we must make a shift to move from feeding on worldly and sinful things, to feeding on the Kingdom and righteous things. Soon it will be times-up and it will be too late to add or subtract anything from our record here. We must use our time to cooperate with the Holy Spirit and allow Him to bring us to full maturity at the fastest rate possible, because soon He needs to empower us for this harvest and send us out to a needy world.
JN 9:4 As long as it is day, we must do the work of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work.
You may not think that you can accomplish much here, but think about this. If Jesus Christ were to come and visit your town for one week do you think it would change the very makeup of that town in the end? I would think so. Well soon that same Jesus Christ wants to be flowing through a spiritually mature and pure you to do the same things and much more. It will be Jesus Christ flowing through the mature and purified sons of God like you that change this world in this last hour, so what you do now to prepare for it and how you spend your time will have a much more profound effect on society than you might think. Soon you will walk in the full power and authority of God and He will establish His kingdom here through you. So be ready to face the Lord soon, and use your time here for Him.
EPH 5:15 Be very careful, then, how you live–not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.
