“What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again: there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which one can say, “Look! This is something new? It was here already, long ago, it was here before our time.” (Ecclesiastes 1:9-10)
In an early morning vision, I was shown the number 72 with the symbol + beside it. The two numbers and symbol shone in bright white and appeared like a ticker bar positioned above with words written from left to right. In other words, the vision floated high up in the air and above my head.
INTERPRETATION:
From a biblical perspective, the Number 72 is significant because it importantly points to witnessing and testifying GOD’s Word to the people. This number is first observed in the Old Testament wherein 70 spirit-filled elders plus Aaron and Moses (72 in total) were chosen to speak on GOD’s behalf. Approximately 1500 years later it is observed again in the New Testament when our Lord Jesus appointed 72 messengers to prepare people for his appearance in cities and wherever he would manifest. Whether 70 or 72 had been appointed by Jesus remains inconclusive by some biblical scholars and theologians. It is an oversight that is easily reconciled considering that in the previous chapter (Lk.9:52-54) some messengers had already been appointed to go to a Samaritan village to make ready a people for the Lord. This explains why the Lord, in Chapter 10, “appointed other seventy also”. Why would He appoint “others” unless some had already been appointed? It can reasonably be concluded then, that as was the case during Mose’s time, Jesus had likewise appointed 72 messengers. And now approximately 2,000 years later, in accordance with the tenets of the New Covenant, the Lord Jesus through the Holy Spirit is choosing messengers once again to prepare a people for His appearance in the clouds!
Although the symbol “+” can represent the plus sign, it most importantly represents the Cross of Redemption. White, in the bible, represents light, purity and the righteous acts of the saints (Rev. 19:8). As was the case in Moses’ days and in Jesus’ days, so it is that the Lord our Righteousness, is once again choosing His saints and laborers to evangelize the world with the Gospel message of redemption. These chosen have names written in heaven. They will be empowered with the Holy Spirit and protected by the Lord. They will heal the sick. They will subdue the enemy and cast out demons in the name of Jesus. They will prophesy that the Kingdom of God has come nigh. And terrible judgment will fall on any city or town who does not receive them!
