“It’s Time for Fresh Power and Anointing”
We are living in such exciting and great times, full of tremendous opportunities for God’s Kingdom. Don’t get caught up in the lull of the spirit of the world but, rather, apprehend and run for God’s glory! This is your day because it is His day!
Create Momentum in Your Life
Hebrews 12:1-2, “Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the Cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Shake yourself and break out of the religious matrix of dullness. Stir what God has put inside of you. Each and every one of us that has been given of His Spirit has unlimited potential for God’s Kingdom. Don’t look for your help from man, look to God. The eyes of the Lord are searching throughout the earth for those who are seeking His face! This is the bar and standard. God is no respecter of persons and will use those who make themselves available.
I just recently wrote an article on “Creating Spiritual Momentum in Your Life,” addressing this need for momentum both individually and corporately. Just as in a game, so much relies on momentum. Who can get the most momentum or shift the momentum? It is key to gain the momentum to win the race! The good news is, you are already on the winning team in JESUS!
Time for Fresh Power and Anointing
Psalms 92:10, “But my horn You have exalted like a wild ox; I have been anointed with fresh oil.”
The Body of Christ has made great progress in the area of worship and experiencing the presence of God on more of a global scale. Some participate in this but still don’t get the tangible aspect of the presence of God. Without question, Jesus knew that tangible aspect of God’s presence and glory. With Him as our example, we should not be satisfied with anything less. Beyond this, even though there is a measure of presence being experienced in more places, there is a huge need for God’s power. There is a threshold that needs to be crossed by individuals and churches to enter into a realm of power and anointing.
When people are not willing to pay the price for power, they settle for natural-minded solutions to problems – which are no solutions at all. Begin to sow sacrificially in the Spirit to see the power of the Spirit come in your life. Consider this: when Jesus came out of being tempted in the desert, the anointing was there to set people free, there was no question about it. It is the same with us. This is not for “superstar” spiritual people but for all of God’s people. Position yourself with a lifestyle that will sacrifice to see God’s glory and power!
Synergize and Mobilize
Psalms 133:1-3: “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head,
Running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron,
Running down on the edge of his garments.
It is like the dew of Hermon, descending upon the mountains of Zion; for there the Lord commanded the blessing – life forevermore.”Discover those of like heart and mind that you can grow with, do community with and create a synergy with in His presence. As we gather together in pursuit of God, realizing we need more of Him, there is a meshing of gifts and a greater expression of His fullness. Out of that place we can be mobilized in the place of mutual encouragement to have an impact in the ares we’ve been called to.
Awaken Fresh Zeal and Excitement
Psalms 57:7-8, “My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and give praise. Awake, my glory! Awake, lute and harp! I will awaken the dawn.”
Capture a fresh sense of joy in the presence of God! It is time to awaken your heart and go out with the joy of His Spirit. When you have joy there is laughter, then the peace of God accompanies that joy.
You are on this planet for a reason. Don’t get caught up in the matrix of typical life but break out of the box into a fresh, open field of God’s glory. Don’t settle for less and get stagnant in a place of boredom. Stir up what God has deposited in you and realize that God has put the measure of faith in your heart to do amazing things for His Kingdom! You don’t need more faith, just tap into what is already there. Get some high praise in your mouth and break off the lethargy of religiosity. Re-learn how to laugh with fresh joy in the Holy Ghost!
Keeping a Good Confession
Hebrews 10:23, “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.”
Luke 6:45, “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.”
We believe therefore we speak. What you believe is what comes out of your mouth. Jump over the top in what you say by saying that which is the will of God for your life. Don’t be apathetic and wait for something to happen. You’ve been created in the image of God, after His likeness – even a new creation with the power of the Holy Spirit in your life! Discover the power of the treasure that God has placed inside of you.
2 Corinthians 4:7, “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.”
Just as God spoke things into existence so we have the power to change the direction of our lives by the good confessions of our mouths. Let there be light in your life as you speak forth the good plans of God, as He will finish the good work He has begun in you!
