Recently, I was in prayer concerning what the Body of Christ should do as we prepare for the new year and season approaching. I suddenly received a vision with my mind’s eyes that was very prophetic in nature. The inner vision was a person crossing the finishing line in an Olympic track and field race. As I sought the Lord concerning this vision, I heard the Spirit of God whisper the word “Relentless!” God was showing me that He desires His people to have “relentless faith” as they press into the new year and finish strong. God doesn’t just want His people to finish strong, but to start even stronger for 2019.

According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary the word “relentless” means “continuing without becoming weaker, less severe, and remaining strict or determined.” So for something that is bad and that is relentless, it means that it never stops or never becomes less intense. The enemy is relentless in attacking the children of God, but as children of God we are called to be overcomers in Christ! We become relentless by determining to do something regardless of opposition and by refusing to give up!

    As Bold as a Lion

The Bible says, “…the righteous are as bold as a lion” (Proverbs 28:1). The lion is the king of the jungle and the animal kingdom. He is not the biggest, heaviest, largest, fastest, smartest or most dangerous. What sets a lion apart from all others is not what I aforementioned. It is because a lion is bolder, fearless, hungry and relentless much more than other animals in the kingdom. A lion’s attitude, position and heart demand respect. (Photo via Flickr)

A lion’s heart and boldness make it king above all. Spiritually speaking, the lion’s heart, mentality, posture and presence release fear in others while he walks around boldly, confidently and majestically. The lion’s faith and boldness causes other animals to take notice of him. What has the enemy said or done to your faith that has caused you to walk in fear, intimidation or doubt? God wants to change your perspective and how you view yourself. God wants to instill in you a measure of faith to overcome unexpected warfare and opposition. God wants to give you a lion’s heart to boldly come before the throne of grace, asking the King what you need Him to do on your behalf.

    Crossing the Finish Line

As I shared, the vision God gave me was that of a person crossing the finishing line. I heard the Spirit of the Lord say to His people that He is going to grant unto them an “omega (finisher’s) anointing” in this next season. This is not the time to draw back, retreat, give up or succumb to what life has thrown your way. Resist the enemy and he will flee (James 4:7). The Lord said that He is going to give many of His people in this new season, relentless endurance through their spiritual warfare encounters.

God spoke a Scripture to me concerning relentless faith for Believers from Romans 8:28-31:“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” If God is for you, who can be against you? There is nothing standing in your way if God has gone before you.

    “Relentless Conqueror”

You are a “relentlessly conqueror” in Christ Jesus who will help you have a flawless, victorious race toward destiny. We have to understand that God Himself is relentless and determined to bless and deliver His people from the enemy’s strongholds. God activated relentless signs, wonders and miracles in setting His people free from Egyptian bondages.

Jeremiah 32:19-21 proves this by saying: “…determined in purpose and relentless in following through, You see everything that men and women do and respond appropriately to the way they live, to the things they do. You performed signs and wonders in the country of Egypt and continue to do so right into the present, right here in Israel and everywhere else, too. You’ve made a reputation for Yourself that doesn’t diminish. You brought Your people Israel out of Egypt with signs and wonders—a powerful deliverance!—by merely stretching out Your arm.”

Get ready to finish what you have started in this next season that is coming. Relentless faith, boldness, courage, strength and persistence will overcome and shatter fear, timidity, cowardliness, feebleness and laziness. (Photo via Pexels)

Apostle Paul began to admonish the Corinthian Believers by prophetically encouraging them to be relentless in the work God had called them to do. In 1 Corinthians 15:58 (ESV) Paul encourages them by saying, “Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”

Life will bring unnecessary pressure, responsibilities and warfare at times, but this shouldn’t shake your faith in finishing what God has entrusted you with. There will be times when you may want to throw in the towel or wave the white flag of surrender, but according to 2 Timothy 1:7, “…God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power, love, and self-control.” The Lord has given you patience in persecution! God said that He will protect those who are persevering in faith and that they will not become one of the enemy’s spiritual casualties of warfare.

Hebrews 10:39 (ESV) emphatically declares: “But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their souls.” You will not shrink back but rise up with the power of God to tread upon serpent and scorpions (Luke 10:19). God told me to tell His people that as they possess relentless faith ending the year and starting the new year, He will give them relentless momentum and a power surge to break personal life records and accomplish amazing feats in Christ for their generation.
