LIFE IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD – Ron McGatlin
Passion leads us to abundant fruitful life when focused on the one true God.
Passion focused on the false gods of our lifetime on earth leads us to an empty unfruitful life.
The lack of passion is a life without focus and purpose.
GOD IS ASSIGNING LIFE CALLS
Many of God’s people, especially young people, are today being called by God to a passionate fresh focus for their lives.
For some, a first-time passion for a specific purpose or general field of life service is coming into view.
For others, a fresh depth of significance of God’s purpose within a previous call is being seen.
And for some others, a whole new focus is being birthed into their hearts replacing the previously supposed purpose for their lives.
Mature and even elderly believers are not immune to these changes of focus taking place. God is restructuring mature believers in preparation for active roles in the next wave of restoration of the full reality of His kingdom of heaven manifesting on earth.
THE GREAT FOCUS UPGRADE FROM GOD
The major shift or advancement is from one realm to another in God. Believers across the world are now or will be soon sensing a major shift from God’s dealing with natural or physical life to spiritual or supernatural life.
That which God is saying and doing about the natural life and world is changing to a new focus. The new upgraded focus of God is on the spiritual or supernatural realm of man and the world more than the natural or physical realm.
The shift is from natural life to Spirit life. This is an increased move from just understanding things in the natural mind to enlightenment and revelation in the Spirit realm.
From man’s view, this is the realization of the previously known but not fully realized reality of the superiority of Spirit reality over natural reality. In other words, we may have known that Spirit had to be more real in that it created the natural physical. However, at the same time, this physical natural existence seems to be much more real than a “nebulous” unseen spirit reality.
The upgrade of our focus is from the natural realm to the Spirit realm. The Spirit realm creates or recreates the natural realm in cooperation with the faith of mankind on earth.
We as sons and daughters of God can have a MUCH GREATER impact on the natural realm while focusing on or in the Spirit realm. The supernatural control mechanisms are the method for changing the natural world.
It is a step closer to the full-time presence of God with mankind in this world. Or more accurately stated the act of man being always more present with God in the Spirit.
PRESENCE OF SPIRIT GOD IN THE NATURAL WORLD
Man must be present by being focused on God and not on other things in order to experience the manifest presence of God.
Christ Jesus, Lord, and King of this world manifest in and among us is the GLORY of God on earth.
“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sits on the right hand of God. Set your affection (minds) on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, appears, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.” Colossians 3:1-4 KJV.
THE GLORY OF OUR LIVES IN CHRIST
In the Spirit reality, as we set (focus) our minds (affection) on things above, not on things on the earth, our hidden lives in Christ manifest with Him in glory on earth. The glory of the manifestation of Christ is seen in His Bride on earth.
This is the way to the glory of God manifesting on earth. The greater works of Christ in us are manifested to the glory of God in our lives and the world around us is changed from glory to GLORY.
“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2 Corinthians 3:18.
“The mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Colossians 1:26-27.
MATURING SONS OF GOD ON EARTH
Christ Jesus the “Son of God” became a “son of man” so that “sons of man” could become “sons of God.”
For over two thousand years God has been seeking to grow up His infant and juvenile sons into mature sons of God to rule and reign in the love of God on earth.
Mature sons of God are joint heirs of God with Christ Jesus. All that Christ has from Father God is equally available to the mature or manifested sons of God.
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, ‘Abba, Father.’ The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.” Romans 8:14-17.
“Suffering with Him” is a part of the glorification of Christ in mature sons of God. Suffering is a vital part of losing our old natural self-focused life in order to receive the Spirit-led life of Christ Jesus.
“He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.” Matthew 10:39.
Being led by the Spirit of God is only available to those who are no longer self-led by their natural minds or spirits other than the Spirit of God.
Our suffering is in the soul, our mind, will, and emotions. It may be joined by physical suffering that reinforces the inner pain.
This is all part of the death of the old that leads to the resurrection of the new life of Christ fully living in us to the glory of God. Our new life of being led by the Spirit as manifested sons of God is the resurrected life of Christ in us. We are truly born again a new creation as chosen sons and daughters of Father God in Christ by the Holy Spirit.
DEATH AND SUFFERING WERE NOT GOD’S CHOICE FOR MAN
Sickness and death came through mankind.
Man being IN LOVE with God always produces perfect order and alignment with God. This leads to fully BELIEVING and TRUSTING God, which leads to total OBEDIENCE. Another word for believing is FAITH.
Sickness and death entered the world and mankind when Adam and Eve believed the lies of the enemy and lost their love for God. They mistrusted, disbelieved, and disobeyed God when they ate of the forbidden tree of knowledge and did not continue to partake of the fruit of the tree of life.
The enemy had told them that God was withholding something good from them because they would be as God if they ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. (Genesis 3).
It was mankind that stopped loving God and broke the eternal life bond of being in love with God. God has never changed His pure love for His created world and mankind.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” John 3:16-17.
MAN AND THE WORLD ARE BEING MADE NEW
The perfect godly design, power, and wisdom, in the love of God for the world and mankind is coming down from Heaven in the Spirit flow of Spirit Christ of the marriage to His pure holy Bride bringing forth His manifest mature Sons of God, joint heirs with Christ.
From the Spirit realm of heaven, the natural world is becoming the made new habitation of God in and with the made new mankind in the governance or kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven.
“Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:10.
