ORIGINAL DESIGN, I was woke up twice last night to these two words, original design. No context, no scripture, no feelings surounding it, just two powerful, biblical words, original design. I began to pray about these two words in order to know what the Lord was speaking to me about them and two chapters in the Bible rang in my spirit as the Holy Spirit said, “Original Design of humanity and the earth.” The two chapters are Psalm 139 and Genesis 1. The Holy Spirit said, “I am restoring Original Design to humanity and to the earth.” As I began to read the two chapters for the two restorations, I was surprised by the similarities in these two chapters.
First, original design of humanity. We know people have been programmed to believe a twisted, perverted, version of who they are. The enemy wants people to think in his vein of emptiness, desolation, and perversion because he knows better than we do our original design. When a baby is born, they are not programmed in a twisted version of original design. The Bible is very clear about who we are. Psalm 139:13-16 declares our original design, “For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.” Then Genesis 1:27 adds this, “God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” Original design of humanity, any alteration is a programmed perversion from the enemy and God is restoring us to original design.
Second, original design is the earth. The earth was created to be full of light, producing everything we need to live, releasing its goodness to us, working with us not against us. The earth wants to partner with us, Paul even said in Romans 8:19 “For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.” The earth, like humans began formless, but then God spoke and everything changed “The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.” (Genesis 1:2). Light still pieces darkness. God still takes the formless and the perverted, and He brings it back to original design. Everything the enemy touches becomes, dark, desolate, depressed, and devoid of life.
God is opening blind eyes to see the perversion the enemy has done to us and He is declaring restoration of original design. Remember, “You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all we are the work of Your hand.” (Isaiah 64:8). God’s hands are on His creation (earth and humanity) and He is restoring us to original design.
