Palestinian organizations are calling for a day of protests on Tuesday, when US President Donald Trump meets Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in Bethlehem. The president is presently in Saudi Arabia but will arrive in Israel on Monday to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The president is presently in Saudi Arabia but will arrive in Israel on Monday to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Hamas called on the Palestinians in Israel to clash with Israeli security forces.  More than 4,000 policemen will be deployed during Trump’s visit in Jerusalem.

The call to violence comes when Palestinians at a time that is already rife with clashes between Palestinians and Israeli security forces. Hundreds of Gazans stormed the border fence between Israel and Gaza on Friday afternoon. IDF troops responded with crowd control measure, firing in the air, and finally resorting to live fire. Several Gazans were reported to have been injured in the confrontation.

At the same time, riots broke out in other locations in Judea and Samaria. Violent riots took place in the cities of Jenin, Nablus, Qalqilya, Ramallah, Hebron and Bethlehem. Riots also happened in the Jordan Valley. Two IDF soldiers were injured by rock throwing in Hebron.

On Thursday, an Israeli motorist was attacked by a violent mob in Huwara near Nablus (Shechem). The motorist fired his handgun, killing on attacker and wounding an Associated Press journalist. The shooting was condemned by the United Nations, who called for the Israeli to be arrested.
