Who will listen to the simple truth? Mathew 28 ends with it: Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. KJV: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.
No one believes Jesus when He says in John 14 If ye love me, keep my commandments or John 15 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love. Or Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. or If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Which commands? Don’t call anyone teacher or rabbi or whatever title because you have one teacher, do not judge, do not look to lust, do not get angry without cause, do not divorce, give to all who ask of you, when you pray in secret the Father rewards you , Love each other as I have loved you….. and so on and so on, do Jesus Commands to be a disciples of Jesus teaching, not man’s. We Use Paul’s writings much more readily and shy away from those taught by God’s Son. Yet it is the simple key we are looking for. John 14 again If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father’s who sent me.
Wow, so simple.
