[FoxNews.com] President Donald Trump on Thursday said he will cut tariffs on Chinese imports after a highly-anticipated meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in South Korea, citing new understandings on fentanyl enforcement, farm trade, and a pause on rare-earth export limits. … After the talks, Trump said he and Xi had “an amazing meeting” and that both sides had reached “an outstanding group of decisions” on key economic and security issues. The president said Xi agreed to begin immediate purchases of US soybeans and other farm goods and that China would work “very hard” to block fentanyl from entering the US. Trump said he would cut the tariff rate on Chinese imports by 10 points… Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here Click Here to read.

…Trump made his announcement just minutes before [his] high-stakes meeting with China’s President Xi Jinping.
In a post on Truth Social, the president cited China and Russia’s growing nuclear arsenals, writing: “Because of other countries’ testing programs, I have instructed the Department of War to start testing our nuclear weapons on an equal basis.” President George H.W. Bush had invoked a moratorium on nuclear weapons tests after the fall of the Soviet Union. President Trump made his announcement just minutes before a high-stakes meeting with China’s President Xi Jinping. The two leaders met in South Korea today as the US and China have been engaged in an escalating trade war. Trump described his meeting with Xi as “great and friendly.” “President Xi is a great leader of a great country, and I think we’re going to have a fantastic relationship for a long period of time,” Trump said. “Given our different national conditions, we do not always see eye to eye with each other. And it is normal for the two leading economies of the world to have frictions now and then,” Xi said. At a South Korean air base in Busan, Trump and Xi spent nearly two hours in closed-door talks—a meeting aimed at stabilizing relations after months of rising friction over trade, technology, and security. The two leaders did not hold a press conference after the meeting. On the plane home, President Trump described the talks as “amazing,” saying the two nations reached several key agreements. The US will cut some tariffs on Chinese goods by about 10 percent in exchange for Xi’s commitment to tighten control over chemicals used to make fentanyl. China will also end restrictions on rare earth mineral exports, critical for US defense and tech industries, and resume buying US soybeans immediately. “We’ve come to conclusions on many very important points. China’s going to start buying US soybeans right away, and President Xi has promised to work very hard to stop the flow of fentanyl,” Trump said. President Trump also announced the US would reduce tariffs on Chinese fentanyl-related products, dropping duties from 20 to 10 percent—a gesture he said would encourage cooperation. But analysts say beneath the smiles, President Xi faces growing instability at home. Dr. Chun-Geun Lee, author of International Politics, said, “I’m not optimistic. More than 37 generals were fired—the first time in Chinese history. Xi Jinping may still be in charge, but he’s lost part of his power. He can’t fully control policy anymore.” Dr. Lee also says China’s decision to drop its rare-earth export weapon—materials used in making everything from smartphones to missiles—is a sign Beijing is under pressure. “When (the) US welcomed China to join the World Trade Organization, Americans ask (for) Chinese gentleman(ly) behavior, but they cheat(ed) and stole American technologies. Trump, he is a nationalist, America first. China will not survive without trade with the US,” he said. President Trump’s plan to resume testing of the US nuclear arsenal comes as other powerful nations are doing it. Meanwhile, both leaders agreed to keep communication channels open and to plan a second summit early next year. Still, questions remain about how long the current truce will hold, and whether Beijing can follow through on its promises amid internal challenges. Trump emphasized that cooperation and transparency are needed to keep the region stable and growing—the kind of partnership he hopes to build with China. He says cooperation, not conflict, is the key to lasting economic stability and security across the Asia-Pacific region. Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here

“I think we’re getting near to the end of this … the situation with air traffic control could become serious soon.” -Brit Hume
Hume, Fox News Channel’s senor political analyst, made the observation discussing the ongoing federal government shutdown with “Special Report” Host Bret Baier:
Indeed, every government shutdown since 1990 has been ended by Congress passing a continuing resolution. The six shutdowns that occurred during that period ranged in length from two to 34 days. “I think we’re getting near to the end of this,” Hume predicted, noting that the American Federation of Government Employees is now calling for Democrats to vote for the continuing resolution. What’s more, “the situation with air traffic control could become serious soon,” Hume said:
Ultimately, Democrats are defending a position that will quickly become politically untenable, forcing them to accept Republicans’ plan to temporarily keep funding unchanged, Hume said.

“You can’t change a nation if you’re enslaved to fear, you can’t call out corruption if you’re still chained to comfort, you can’t stand for truth if you first do not kneel before the Lord.” -Erika Kirk
The line of students waiting to enter the “This is The Turning Point” event was extensive even hours before the doors opened. They came to hear Erika Kirk, as well as Vice President JD Vance, and neither disappointed, with heartfelt, sometimes poignant and stirring inspiration. Erika wore a T-shirt like her husband Charlie wore on the day he was assassinated, one which simply said, “Freedom.”
“Comfort doesn’t change the world. … The enemy of truth doesn’t need to destroy a nation overnight, he just needs to convince people that truth no longer matters. The enemy thrives when Christians DON’T speak up, when people DON’T vote, when students DON’T think for themselves…” “The presence of a shadow is proof there is Light.” “The Lord is calling you to arise … do not be afraid.” “You can’t change a nation if you’re enslaved to fear, you can’t call out corruption if you’re still chained to comfort, you can’t stand for truth if you first do not kneel before the Lord.”
“I believe America can heal, but we can’t save a country that we’re too afraid to defend.”
She remembered that he would walk over to his desk each morning and read the three questions he had printed there: 1. What is something I can do for someone else today? 2. What is something I can do to add value to the world today? 3. How can I honor God today? Erika concluded her address stressing the following important points, before introducing VP Vance: “God has created you for greatness. The question isn’t how long will I live but what am I going to do with the life God has given?” “Be the courageous generation. Stand up for the truth, love life … Love your family fearlessly. Love your spouse fearlessly. Love this country. Defend her and serve our God. And don’t think that it’s someone else’s role to do it. YOU do it. You do it. Do it for Charlie.” Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here Click Here to watch Erika’s entire message.

[RSBNetwork.com] Governor Ron DeSantis, R-FL, announced Monday that the state of Florida is partnering with Turning Point USA to ensure that all “Club America” chapters on high school campuses can launch without any impediments or holdups. Districts or schools that oppose the launch of these clubs in Florida, Gov DeSantis said, will receive a warning before they “drop the hammer.” … “Let me be very clear if you haven’t received the message already: If you are a hurdle, if you get in the way of any student or teacher trying to start a Turning Point USA chapter, you will be met with the full force of the law,” said Florida Commissioner of Education Anastasios Kamoutsas… Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here Click Here to read.

“This teacher was punished for allowing her students to briefly discuss the tragic assassination of Kirk—a young conservative voice who was killed for exercising his First Amendment rights. If there was ever a moment that demanded we teach our children about the vital importance of free speech and the dangers of political violence, this was it.” -ACLJ statement
The incident happened during a mandated lesson about the US Constitution on Constitution Day. The teacher asked her students about the rights that are protected under the First Amendment. Someone mentioned freedom of speech. And another student pointed out that Charlie Kirk had been killed for his speech. The conversation happened a few days after Charlie’s assassination. The teacher saw this as an opportunity to explore other Americans who were killed for their speech. Students identified Martin Luther King Jr., John F. Kennedy and Abraham Lincoln. At one point a student said that someone tried to kill President Trump for his beliefs. Another student chimed in that it would not have been so bad if Trump had been killed. The teacher corrected the student and told the class that calls for death are not protected speech and that violence is never an acceptable response to disagreement. Later in the day—the teacher was told by administrators to shut down any controversial issues. No more discussions. And if she did so again—she could lose her job. The teacher was slapped with a “Summary of Conference” memo stating that “if controversial issues arise spontaneously without administration approval and parent notification, discussion must be put to a stop immediately. Failure to comply with the above directives may result in disciplinary action.” American Center for Law and Justice is now representing the teacher. “What makes this case particularly egregious is the context—and the chilling message it sends to teachers and students across America,” ACLJ said in a statement. “This teacher was punished for allowing her students to briefly discuss the tragic assassination of Kirk—a young conservative voice who was killed for exercising his First Amendment rights. If there was ever a moment that demanded we teach our children about the vital importance of free speech and the dangers of political violence, this was it.”

“…The shroud is not a hoax. It’s not man-made. There’s no pigment. There’s no dye. There’s no coloring.”
Johnston, author of “Peace of God Bible: Discover and Experience God’s Shalom Throughout the Bible,” told CBN News he is fully confident about the New Testament’s authenticity. “The authenticity of the New Testament is without question,” he said. “The Bible is an historical book and … these are books about real people, real places, real events. Our Scriptures are not fairy tales. They’re not legends. They’re not lore. And they are so well-evidenced.” Among the elements that convince Johnston of the Bible’s real and authentic take are the findings coming from archaeologists who routinely explore information and relics dating back centuries. “Archaeologists use six books to make sure that they’re digging in the right spot in Israel,” he said. “They always use these six books—Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, the Book of Acts, and then they use Josephus.” Johnston continued, “So if the archeologists who dig, and many of them are not Christians, use the New Testament because … it’s very similar with what we expect the First Century world to be like, you better believe I’m going to use the Bible too.” The Bible expert said there are dozens of evidence-based facts that point to the life, death, miracles, and resurrection of Jesus based on archaeological sources. “Christianity … is the only religion that you can test against history, and it passes the test at every turn,” Johnston said. “And this is where things like the physical bodily resurrection of Jesus [are] so well evidenced, and what’s amazing is, I believe, as we get closer to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, we are seeing a controlled revelation of discoveries tied to technology.” Johnston specifically addressed the Shroud of Turin, which gives him peace about the reliability of Scripture. “It’s the only artifact that we have outside of the Bible that gives evidence to the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus all in one artifact,” he said. “And I’ve met many of the 102 scientists, and then the 102 scientific disciplines that have put their academic and reputation on the line to … prove—and that it’s the first time I’ve used that word—to prove that the shroud is not a hoax. It’s not man-made. There’s no pigment. There’s no dye. There’s no coloring.” The Bible expert went on to say that there’s no way to explain the image on the Shroud—something he said is the real “kicker.” “Why it’s there is because God demonstrated His love for you and me and that, when we were at our worst, God sent His best for us,” he said. “That’s the signature of the Shroud.” Ultimately, Johnston said the Shroud has brought much peace to his life—a remarkable reality considering he was once a critic of the relic. “I wrote a bestselling book called ‘Body of Proof’ on the resurrection, and I never mentioned the Shroud because I was a total skeptic on the Shroud,” he said. “That’s the funny part. I mean, I have a PhD from England … like, it was hammered into me that the shroud was a … forgery.” Johnston said he was operating on sound bites and “not substance” when he discounted the Shroud, but that this changed once he began digging deeper and speaking with experts. Eventually, his entire perspective changed. “I think it’s … the greatest evangelism discipleship tool I’ve ever seen in my ministry,” Johnston said. His transition on the topic has been fascinating, considering how diligently he previously questioned it. But he now has absolutely no doubts, noting the pollen spores on the Shroud come from Jerusalem. “I now believe the shroud is authentic,” Johnston said. “When you look at the blood and you see that it’s type AB blood, it’s human blood, it’s Semitic blood … and then the pollen spores.” Watch him discuss more about the Shroud and his new book “Peace of God Bible: Discover and Experience God’s Shalom Throughout the Bible.” As the number of voices facing big-tech censorship continues to grow, please sign up for Faithwire’s daily newsletter and download the CBN News app, developed by our parent company, to stay up-to-date with the latest news from a distinctly Christian perspective. “This generation will decide if America remembers who She is. … We will not apologize for loving our country first, we will not be silent about our faith, we will not back down when the world tells us to kneel, because we bow only to the King of kings.” (Screengrab image: via Fox News)
Toward the end of her speech, Erika shared about how it took a while before she was able to once again sleep in the bed she’d shared with Charlie after his murder, and how—when she finally did—she slept on his side of the bed. Waking up there, she realized that each morning Charlie had faced the sign she’d hung on the wall which read: “They will be known by the boldness of their faith.” (Screengrab image: via Fox News)
