“Fighters of the IDF and the Shin Bet arrested and interrogated hundreds suspected of involvement in terror activities. Over the past day, many also surrendered…” -Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari

(Jerusalem, Israel) — [CBN News] Two months after Hamas’ October 7th massacre, the Israeli military is making steady progress in its mission to destroy the terror group. (Screengrab image)

In a stunning reversal from the Gaza celebrations in October, this week, hundreds of suspected terrorists have been captured.

“Fighters of the IDF and the Shin Bet arrested and interrogated hundreds suspected of involvement in terror activities,” stated Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari. “Over the past day, many also surrendered. The intelligence we are gathering during the interrogations serves us during the continuation of the fighting.”

The intelligence gathered may well help the IDF know more about the 138 hostages still inside Gaza. The IDF also announced they killed two high-ranking Hamas intelligence terrorists, and that Hamas is reportedly firing rockets out of safe zones.

The military included Khan Younis, the second largest city in the Gaza Strip, as one of its evacuation zones.

Amid the intense fighting, …Joe Biden called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Jordan’s King Abdullah to increase humanitarian assistance to Gaza civilians. He emphasized the critical need to protect civilians, provide corridors to safe zones, and separate civilians from Hamas.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, after a meeting with British Foreign Secretary David Cameron, gave his strongest criticism yet of Israel’s military operation in Gaza—with Reuters reporting he talked of a gap between Israel’s intention to protect civilians and the number of casualties.

Yet, the IDF reports that Hamas is launching rockets from inside humanitarian zones that have been established to give civilians a safe refuge.

Beyond Gaza, more attacks. Early Friday morning, the US Embassy in Baghdad came under fire for the first time since the beginning of the Israel-Hamas War.

Also, Prime Minister Netanyahu warned Hezbollah that if it started an all-out war, Israel would turn Beirut and southern Lebanon into Gaza.

While encouraging Israeli troops, Netanyahu said, “We are determined to bring victory, and we will do it with your help.”

Shots Fired Outside Synagogue in US

Meanwhile, in Albany, New York, just hours before the beginning of Hanukkah, a man fired a shotgun twice outside a synagogue and shouted, “Free Palestine!”

It’s one more sign of increasing concerns about anti-Semitism and terrorism. (Image: Pixabay)

“Our police department will ensure that they are continuing to step up patrols. They have been all along, as we have seen a rise in anti-Semitic rhetoric and anti-Semitic actions that have taken place,” declared Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan.

She added, “And no community is immune; and we take this very seriously, and we will do all that we can to ensure that our Jewish brothers and sisters can celebrate Hanukkah in safety—that they can celebrate Hanukkah with joy with their families, and that we as a community come together and stand with them.”

Rabbi Wendy Love Anderson from Temple Israel of Albany expressed gratitude.

“Thank the Albany police for their quick response and everyone who’s reached out to us with messages of compassion and sympathy,” she said. “After this press conference, we’re going to be lighting Hannukah candles because we need light in darkness.” Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here

“We’re talking not just about verbal harassment, anti-Jewish epithets being hurled at students walking to class, but we’re also talking about acts of physical violence. The schools we’re looking at are viewed as among the most elite universities in the nation: Columbia, Harvard, MIT—the fact these institutions of higher learning have permitted their campuses to become hotbeds of bigotry is a very sad fact. Shockingly, some of the worst offenders of our investigation has included faculty members—professors who are encouraging their students to engage in genocidal chants.” -Mark Ressler, a partner at Kasowitz, Benson, and Torres

(New York City) — [CBN News] Jewish college students are now suing their respective colleges, feeling their safety is at risk as antisemitism goes unchecked on several campuses. One attorney tells CBN News some faculty members are even encouraging students to engage in genocidal chants at major universities. (Screengrab image)

Litigation comes as a widening investigation by private law firms and the Department of Education puts several top American universities under the microscope for allowing their campuses to become hotbeds for antisemitism and bigotry.

Daniella, a 21-year-old freshman at Columbia University, met with CBN News outside the gates of the university to talk about her case against the school’s administration.

“There’s been protests and demonstrations weekly on campus—chants of “intifada,” which means uprising and refers to attacks in the ’80s and 2000s,” said Daniella. “They’re calling for the ethnic cleansing of the Jewish people.”

NYC has the largest Jewish population in the world outside Israel. One in 10 New Yorkers are Jewish according to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency. The New York metro area, including the five boroughs of NYC, and Nassau, Westchester, and Suffolk counties, accounts for 25% of all Jews in the United States, per the Brandeis Steinhardt Social Research Institute.

Columbia University is in the top 15 private universities by Jewish population. Still, Daniella says sometimes she doesn’t feel safe, claiming they’ve failed to protect her against antisemitism.

“Yes and no,” Daniella said. “I choose to think that nobody will physically attack me. But do I feel emotionally safe? Do I feel welcomed? Not in the slightest.”

Before her studies, she served in the Israeli Defense Forces as part of the search and rescue brigade. After Oct. 7th and the subsequent war, anti-Israel protests flooded the university. Daniella even received a death threat on the anonymous social platform, Sidechat. She’s now suing the university for allowing antisemitism to thrive.

“I’m asking for the administration to step in and ensure that antisemitism cannot run free on my campus and I think that’s the minimum,” said Daniella.

Mark Ressler, a partner at Kasowitz, Benson, and Torres, is representing her case and leading an investigation into several elite universities for similar instances.

“We’re talking not just about verbal harassment, anti-Jewish epithets being hurled at students walking to class, but we’re also talking about acts of physical violence,” said Ressler. “The schools we’re looking at are viewed as among the most elite universities in the nation: Columbia, Harvard, MIT—the fact these institutions of higher learning have permitted their campuses to become hotbeds of bigotry is a very sad fact. Shockingly, some of the worst offenders of our investigation have included faculty members—professors who are encouraging their students to engage in genocidal chants.”

MUST SEE ‘Son of Hamas’ Tackles University Antisemitism, Exposes Hamas ‘Holy War’ to Wipe Out Jews

Ressler believes his case is ‘very strong’ and is eager to get his hands on the files of administrators and school presidents to show how antisemitism has been able to flourish on campus for ‘more than a decade.’ Kasowitz, Benson, and Torres is also suing NYU on behalf of three other Jewish students, alleging civil rights violations for its antisemitic education environment.

Plaintiffs are asking universities to follow their federal law obligations, specifically under Title 6 of the 1964 Civil Rights Act which protects Jewish students from hatred and bigotry. When asked for an interview by CBN News, Columbia acknowledged the lawsuit and the Department of Education’s separate investigation of antisemitism—but refused to comment on pending litigation.

Meanwhile, posters of Israeli hostages have been put up throughout New York City streets in recent weeks. However, many have been defaced and even torn down. Now, Jewish community leaders near NYU’s campus are calling it for what it is.

“This is terrorism!” decried Rabbi Dov Yonah Korn with Chabbad House Bowery. “You have to realize that it is so dangerous to ever say that murder of innocent civilians as a strategy—not as an unfortunate byproduct of war, but to seek out women and children and kill them horrifically; if that is your strategy, your ‘response to oppression,’ that is a moral response that’s a caliber of immorality that can never be sanctioned.”

Rabbi Korn leads a Jewish community of more than 1,300 students and young professionals at Chabbad House Bowery near NYU. He says the spike of assaults, vandalism, and harassment against Jews have led to a 30% increase of young Jewish students leaning into their faith.

“This is horrific, but thank G-d the Jewish people react well under fire,” said Rabbi Korn. “This has caused such an explosion of Jewish life and Jewish community, Jewish optimism, Jewish faith, and Jewish practice.”

The Rabbi says recent events, however, have parents reconsidering sending their kids to NYU and similar universities. Something educational consultant, Jennifer Brozost has seen amid surging antisemitism.

“These are the first questions my clients ask and it’s what’s on everyone’s mind,” Brozost said. “Unfortunately, it’s a little too late and a lot of these schools are off their list and they’re going to other schools.”

Brozost, an alumnus of both NYU and Columbia founded PEAS, Private Education Advisory Service, to help students work with admission departments for more than 15 years. She says the failure of certain universities to stand against antisemitism is having a negative impact on early school choice.

“This could have been a learning opportunity,” said Brozost. “But these problems are coming from the top down. These are educational institutions that come with a bias and agenda.”

Whether these investigations and lawsuits tarnish the Ivy League reputation is yet to be seen. Now, Jewish leaders encourage allies and partners with the Jewish community to stand against antisemitism as the fight makes its way to our nation’s capital. Presidents of MIT, Harvard, and University of Pennsylvania testified before Congress this past week—all of which condemned antisemitism, Islamophobia, xenophobia and all forms of hate but agreed further work needs to be done on college campuses. But some of their answers only led to more backlash.

“This is really disturbing. When adult males are allowed into the changerooms and showers of underage girls, and protected in this perversion by those in authority, I have to wonder if we’re witnessing the mainstreaming of pedophilia before our very eyes.” -Jack Fonseca, Campaign Life Coalition

(Barrie, Ontario) — [LifeSiteNews.com] A 50-year-old man, who claims to be female, was allowed to compete in a girls swimming competition and use their changeroom for a second time this year. (Screengrab image: via Rebel News)

This weekend, 50-year-old Nicholas Cepeda, a York University professor whose research specialties include children and youth and who goes by the name of “Melody Wiseheart,” swam against girls as young as 13 during the Trojan Cup swimming competition at the East Bayfield Community Centre in Barrie, Ontario, according to a report by Rebel News

“Our fears were confirmed that Cepeda does not change and shower in the male or even the family change rooms,” Rebel’s David Menzies reported. “Nope, we witnessed this guy going into the girls’ changeroom/showers. It was equal parts egregious, outrageous and downright gross.”

“This is really disturbing,” Campaign Life Coalition’s Jack Fonseca told LifeSiteNews. “When adult males are allowed into the changerooms and showers of underage girls, and protected in this perversion by those in authority, I have to wonder if we’re witnessing the mainstreaming of pedophilia before our very eyes.”

“Why would a 50-year old man want to be in the showers and changerooms with 13-year old girls?” he questioned. “Might it be for the sexual arousal of watching naked and semi-naked girls while they shower and undress? This has to be considered and should be investigated by police.”

According to Rebel News, the Barrie Trojans Swim Club seemed in favor of allowing Cepeda to compete, and the East Bayfield Community Centre went as far as to call the police on Rebel News for reporting on the event.

It is unclear why Cepeda was permitted to compete against the girls considering the recent decision of World Aquatics to create an “open category” for “transgender” men who “transitioned” to female following puberty.

LifeSiteNews reached out to the Barrie Trojans Swim Club to ask why Cepeda was allowed to compete considering he went through male puberty, but the club failed to respond by time of publication.

This is not the first time Cepeda has competed against young girls. In October, Cepeda swam against children ages 13-14 during the Richmond Hill Aquatic Centre Fall Classic swimming competition.

Event organizers initially denied that Cepeda had participated in the event until confronted with his name on a copy of their schedule. They “eventually” relented, Menzies reported, “but they didn’t want to get into a debate about gender and age.” Representatives for governing bodies Swimming Canada and Swimming Toronto were reportedly “too busy” to answer questions about the incident… Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here

“People and political forces who would use children to advance their evil ideologies may have momentary successes or seem to win the day, but in the end we know that God wins.” -Meg Kilgannon, senior fellow for Education Studies at Family Research Council

[WashintonStand.com] The new president of one of Pennsylvania’s largest school districts was sworn into office with her hand on sexually-explicit LGBT propaganda and “banned” books. Democrat Karen Smith took up her new position Monday night as the head of the Central Bucks School District (CBSD) and immediately moved to undo Republican-led, pro-parent, and pro-family policies. For the swearing-in ceremony, Smith chose to place her hand not on a Bible but on a stack of frequently-banned books, including “Flamer,” “All Boys Aren’t Blue,” Beyond Magenta,” “Lily and Dunkin,” and “The Bluest Eye.” (Image: via The Washington Stand-Screengrab)

“I’m not particularly religious,” Smith explained. “The Bible doesn’t hold significant meaning for me, and given everything that has occurred in the last couple of years, the banned books, they do mean something to me at this point.” Both “Flamer” and “All Boys Aren’t Blue” feature explicit depictions of homosexual activity, with the graphic novel “Flamer” including illustrations of nude teenage boys showering and masturbating. “Flamer” is centered on an overweight teenage boy who identifies as homosexual navigating puberty during a Boy Scouts summer camp, while “All Boys Aren’t Blue” is about a young black man who identifies as homosexual growing up in New Jersey and Virginia.

“Beyond Magenta” is built around a series of interviews with teenagers who identify as transgender. “Lily and Dunkin” tells the story of “Lily Jo,” born as Timothy, an eighth-grade biological boy who identifies as a girl. “The Bluest Eye” by Toni Morrison features a passage in which a nine-year-old girl is raped and impregnated by her father, prompting a number of schools and libraries across the nation to bar the books from being accessed by children. In fact, all of the books Smith used for her swearing-in ceremony (with the exception of Elie Wiesel’s testimonial Holocaust novel “Night”) have been subjects of recent controversy and many have been banned from classrooms or libraries for their sexually-explicit and ideologically-charged content.

Meg Kilgannon, senior fellow for Education Studies at Family Research Council, commented to The Washington Stand, “People and political forces who would use children to advance their evil ideologies may have momentary successes or seem to win the day, but in the end we know that God wins.”

She continued, “The effort to reform American education is going to require the same kind of ‘long march’ through the institutions that got us here in the first place. We will have victories and setbacks, but the most important requirement is that we not give up. There are children’s souls and futures on the line, along with our nation.”

Under Republican leadership, the Central Bucks school board had successfully banned the controversial books “Gender Queer” and “This Book Is Gay” and about 60 other books—including many of those Smith brought to her swearing-in ceremony—were being reviewed for removal from classrooms and school libraries. The Republican board also previously blocked teachers from displaying politically- or sexually-charged imagery, such as rainbow Pride flags, in classrooms and mandated parental notification policies, requiring teachers to inform parents of students’ social gender transition attempts or requests. Additionally, Republicans on the board approved a policy barring biological boys identifying as transgender from competing in girls’ sports.

Voters flipped the board’s political makeup last month, handing Democrats a 6-3 majority. Led by Smith, Democrats instantly began undoing pro-parent policies. First, the new board suspended the ban on sexually explicit books. Although “Gender Queer” and “This Book Is Gay” were already removed, Smith said that the other 60 books or so flagged for sexually explicit content are “definitely not going to be reviewed at this point.” Next, the new board undid the policies barring biological boys from participating in girls’ sports and forbidding teachers from flying LGBT Pride flags in classrooms.

Instead of men in drag reading offensive LGBT books to kids … an actual woman showed up and read normal children’s books. When not afraid, pro-family activists can accomplish a lot!

[MassResistance.org] A dedicated group of pro-family people can make a difference even in difficult locales! (Image: via MassResistance)

Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH) is a loathsome propaganda routine where men dress up in garish women’s clothes and read offensive LGBT story books to young children. It’s showing up across America in public libraries and other venues. Its stated goals are to push “gender fluidity” on kids, give them “glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models,” and help them be “their true selves” with “no gender restrictions.”

Far-left San Francisco is where the Drag Queen Story Hour movement originated.

Redwood City is located just south of San Francisco and north of Palo Alto. Not surprisingly, it’s a very liberal and strongly pro-LGBT area. But in fact, there is a sizeable (but mostly-silent) cohort of pro-family conservatives throughout the Bay area. MassResistance has connected with many of them in Redwood City and neighboring cities.

So last month when word got out that the Redwood City Public Library was holding a Drag Queen Story Hour, local conservatives decided it was time to do something effective. One of them contacted us. She told us that last year, some locals showed up and protested outside the library to voice their disapproval when the toxic event took place. But it had no effect.

We got right to work and helped them devise a new strategy.

Sending a message that something was coming!

This time, we made it very clear to the library staff and the event’s organizers that pro-family activists in town were planning something in opposition.

First, one of our people specifically asked the library staff to give us as much information as possible about the event. Who was going to be the drag queen? (We definitely wanted to do a background check.) Who else was going to be involved? What books would be read? What else was going to take place?

No one at the library would reveal any of this. Instead, the library director said to contact the main organizer: Drag Story Hour in San Francisco. Our people (who identified themselves as MassResistance) emailed the San Francisco chapter and asked those questions. They never heard back.

But just asking those questions clearly alarmed the organizers. They surely already knew that MassResistance had a history of success derailing DQSH events across the country.

On the day before the event, our local leader went to the library to see where the story hour was going to take place. The staff directed her upstairs to the kids’ reading area, which had room for about 30 seats. The fact that we scouted the room signaled that some kind of bigger protest might happen.

The organizers apparently got the message and decided to back off from their extreme content.

On the day of the event, a good surprise! A severely watered-down “Drag Queen” reading

On the day of the Drag Queen Story Hour, about a dozen of our group descended on the library.

Half of them arrived an hour before the 11:00 starting time so they could get front-row seats. They brought small signs and prepared to hold them up when the event began. The first thing they noticed was that police officers were already in the otherwise empty room. But they did not prevent our people from going in and taking the front seats on one side. (Image: via MassResistance)

The police were there in the beginning, but left right when it started. As one of our people observed, it was clear that the library wanted to intimidate us from disrupting (which we weren’t going to do anyway) or from being in there at all.

Our other activists arrived a few minutes before 11:00 am and held signs outside the front doors.

A severely watered-down “Drag Queen” show

The person who showed up to read to the kids was not a Drag Queen! Instead, it was a woman wearing lots of make-up and an outsized dress. She read two innocuous (and uninteresting) children’s books with no sexual or LGBT messaging. Between reading the books, she did lead the kids in “The Hips on the Drag Queen Go Swish, Swish, Swish ….” – a noxious version of a popular toddler’s song. (There was vague innuendo here and there—but no child would have noticed it.) She also sang an inoffensive song.

Throughout the entire story time, our activists’ protest was restrained, low-key, civil, and without disruptions. This probably irked the leftists.

And some good cheer afterwards to celebrate

After the event, some of our MassResistance group met at a uniquely conservative coffee shop located not far from the library for a small celebration. Apparently, it even features guest visits by Republican politicians and pundits—and doesn’t get burned down by the Left!

Final thoughts

If pro-family activists can pull this off in a far-left corner of America, it could be done anywhere!

For a first-time protest inside the Redwood City Public Library, our California MassResistance team did a great job. As noted above, Redwood City is not much different from San Francisco itself: Residents, local businesses, and politicians wholeheartedly celebrate the LGBT agenda, along with all the other “woke” ideologies. In spite of that overall hostile atmosphere, our activists made sure that the opposition to Drag Queen Story Hour got through loud and clear!

As one of the MassResistance people who took part told us afterwards, “I firmly believe that if none of us had shown up the way we did, the drag queen would have been a man and would have launched right into children’s story books with homosexuality, transgenderism, and worse. We definitely got into their heads!”
