God wants to open up the well of our spirits so that we can experience the fullness of His Spirit from the inside out. This begins with us connecting with Him, discovering intimacy, and allowing His Spirit to make intercession through us.

The Voice of God Breaking into the Earth

Ezekiel 43:2, “And behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east. His voice was like the sound of many waters; and the earth shone with His glory.”

God’s voice is powerful. When God speaks from Heaven it shakes the earth with impact and force. We can only imagine the power of God’s voice as exemplified in the beginning when He created the heavens and the earth along with everything in it. There is such power in the voice of God.

God said, “Let there be light,” and there it was, as with everything else He spoke into existence.

Psalms 29:5, “The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars, Yes, the Lord splinters the cedars of Lebanon.”

Your Voice and His Voice Merge

Exodus 9:1, “Then the Lord said to Moses, ‘Go in to Pharaoh and tell him, “Thus says the Lord God of the Hebrews: ‘Let My people go, that they may serve Me.'”‘”

God is after our union with Him, thus the term “comm-union.” By His Spirit, He brings us into a place of unity and alignment with His heart and mind. As we connect with His heart He reveals His will and desires to the point where His thoughts become words in our mouths.

2 Corinthians 13:14, “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.”

Through this unity with His Spirit, we begin to agree and speak out His higher plans and purposes in prayer and proclamation where Heaven breaks through into the earth. God delights in partnering with us – even allowing us to be a part of the glory being revealed.

In this we speak as His representatives – even “re-presenting” Him to the world. There is a great need for this as He has not and is not always presented accurately to the world. Because of this, when you see something that you know is not being represented properly, don’t throw the “baby out with the bathwater” but take your place and present Him correctly. That is our call as His representatives.

Revelation 5:10, “And have made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign on the earth.”

We are a Kingdom of priests or “kings and priests” in Christ. Just as the saints in the book of Revelation are clothed in white robes, so by the Blood of Christ we’ve obtained His righteousness and favor. We are set apart to God, where His righteousness is revealed through our lives from the inside out by the Holy Spirit within us.

So not only have we received robes of righteousness, but also the Holy Spirit within us, who displays and “re-presents” God in all His holiness through our lives. This is our priestly privilege and devotion to God.

As you look down the Biblical timeline of those who represented God, you will see Enoch, Abraham, Moses, Samuel, David, Elijah, Elisha and many others who were all named as “prophets.” Jesus Himself was spoken of by Moses as “a Prophet” like himself (Deuteronomy 18:15). In the simplest of terms, a prophet is one who is close to the heart of God, lives a life of holiness through the “Holy” Spirit who glorifies God – even demonstrating His love for God, following His commands, and speaking His words.

With a life saturated in the Spirit we can speak with authority what God has revealed to us. Here we walk in His grace as priests and kings.

Romans 8:6, “Now the mind of the flesh [which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit] is death [death that comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the mind of the [Holy] Spirit is life and [soul] peace [both now and forever].”

Religion seduces people into slumber while the prophetic awakens people to His truth. The religious mindset is always compromising, embracing people pleasing as the way to success, and cloaking it to look legit when it is counterfeit. It is the road of compromise. God calls us to a higher place in His Spirit where we can walk with Him and be conduits of His glory in the earth. He is not looking for perfect vessels but ones that are surrendered, filled with His Spirit, and will follow Him where He leads.

Revelation 14:4, “…These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being firstfruits to God and to the Lamb.”

The Fuel of Intercession and Prayer

The spirit of intercession fuels the prophetic voice. Your life of devotion before God in prayer opens up the heavens and releases revelation into your life. Revelation and information are not equal or the same. You can have a lot of good Biblical information but it may seem lifeless to you because it is simply a ritual.

The good news is your information can become revelation, light, and transformation as you devote yourself to God in worship and prayer. You must have spiritual hunger, a strong prayer life, as well as time in the Word to gain a clear or substantial movement of the Spirit in your life – as well as revelation and a prophetic life. Remember, the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

Romans 8:26, “Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”

The spirit of prayer is essential for the prophetic to be activated in your life.

Let God Pour into You

God is always wanting to pour more of His Spirit and presence into us. One of the most important things we can learn is “how to receive from God.” If we don’t learn how to receive then we have nothing to give. It is out of His fullness that we’ve received and continue to receive out of genuine communion with Him. If you desire to pour into someone’s life you must first allow God to pour into you.

Psalms 36:8, “They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house, and You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures.”

Ephesians 1:15-19, “Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power…”

Breakthrough in the Night Seasons

Psalms 16:7, “I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel; my heart also instructs me in the night seasons.”

Breakthrough awaits in the night seasons; find your place of seeking God where His light will find you. The eyes of the Lord are searching for you.

Prosperity and blessing are found in the hidden places with God. His dwelling place is the launching place for missions and mandates. Don’t think for a second that you are insignificant and not important. Only seek the Lord, setting Him first above all things, and He will find you and use you as the vessel for His glory.

The Upper Room of Prayer

There is an invitation going to His people to rediscover the upper room of prayer where He is pouring out:

• a fresh wind,
• refreshing,
• the fire of the Spirit,
• unity of the Spirit,
• fresh revelation, wisdom and understanding.

In this place, God will fix that which has been broken and separated both within and without, on the inside and the outside, even giving people a fresh start in a new place He has prepared for them.

Opening Up the Wells

Genesis 26:18, “And Isaac dug again the wells of water which they had dug in the days of Abraham his father, for the Philistines had stopped them up after the death of Abraham. He called them by the names which his father had called them.”

Allow God to help you re-dig the wells of intercession, the prophetic and His glory in your life. Ask Him to open your heart, filling you fresh with the glory of His Spirit.

There is more of His presence for your life. There is always more. We move from glory to glory by the Spirit of the Lord so there is always more. Don’t settle down but realize God is always calling you to a higher place in His presence, a deeper pursuit, and greater intimacy of relationship with Him.
