REGENERATION OF MANKIND – Ron McGatlin

God had greatly blessed and prospered a struggling nation that sought to honor Him in the highest offices of governance. This was also reflected in the nation’s general culture. America has shone the light of the gospel of salvation to many nations and peoples of the world and has sought to bring many people out of bondage into freedom.

There has been a major degeneration in the United States of America in my lifetime. The minds of the general population have been “dumbed down” and turned away from God. They are turned to academic details while ignoring practical life and ignoring God.

World War I brought the beginning of significant cultural changes in America. The “Roaring Twenties”, after the end of World War I in 1918, saw a party culture of drinking and new dance styles that affected younger people. At the same time, emphasis on natural life development and scientific inquiry began to alter people’s values.

Church systems in general were not advancing spiritually and had begun to take a gradually smaller role in people’s daily lives and mindsets. There were revivals and a lot of the same preaching, but there was no spiritual growth in the deeper things of God. Gradually, over time, the church began to adjust to the culture.

By the late 1920s and into the early 1930s, the “Roaring Twenties” had given way to the Great Depression. The money and the frivolous times had disappeared. People struggled to just have the necessities of life.

I was born in 1933, near the end of the Great Depression. The Federal Government began taking over more and more of the country’s personal and state governance in an attempt to alleviate the Great Depression.

The takeover greatly increased as we entered World War II in December 1941. More federal government takeover and taxes. Small independent schools were combined into bigger schools and brought under federal government control. Federal rules and laws replaced the rules of state and local independent districts.

RAPID DEGENERATION

The degeneration that had started in World War I really blossomed during the years of the Second World War. We really did not know if we would win or lose the war. More federal government takeover, and families were broken apart. Families were torn apart as wives and mothers left the home to do the work of the men who were fighting. After the war, many wives and mothers never returned to being full-time wives and mothers; they entered the workforce to provide more for their families.

God eventually moved to win the war; prayers were thick, and the church did all it could to bolster and support the people. Most of the churches that I experienced were still denying the Baptism or filling of the Holy Spirit, and the kingdom of God was only something far away someday. Religion, mostly separated from the world and from the Holy Spirit, and from Pentecostals.

The church was only trying to get the people of the world saved and into the church. The world systems were generally considered as part of the enemy and to be separated from as much as possible. Many believed that the world was evil to the core and that God was going to destroy planet earth with fire and make us Christians a new one.

In short, the power to change the world by the power of the indwelling Christ was not even considered. The business, mass media, education, and governance of the nation were left to someone else without God.

With broken families and weak churches that had no part in business, education, and government, the door was open for the devil and all the powers of darkness to invade and take control of the minds of children and young people. Cellphones and online media have further captured and distorted young people’s minds. The children have grown up and now greatly affect the culture toward evil darkness without God, without even knowing it.

Thus, a nation under God that had once been great has now been corrupted from within. The nation that could not be defeated by force is now on the brink of destruction from the inside.

RESURRECTION LIFE CAN ONLY COME AFTER A DEATH

The resurrection life of Christ could only come after the death of the cross. The life of Christ in us now, by the Holy Spirit, is the resurrected life of Christ. The restoration of godly life in America will create the crucifixion of the secular humanistic ungodly life in America. In other words, the hearts of the people must receive the resurrection life of Christ Jesus to end the ungodly secular humanistic life and save the world.

All the tragedies and failures of our failing lives of religion and secularism are replaced by the powerful, loving resurrected life of Christ Jesus, filling our lives with Spirit God. God’s love and righteousness will rule the world.

CHURCH AS WE HAVE KNOWN IT IS OVER

The token Christianity of “one day” and “ten percent” is past, gone, and over. This was a major cause of the loss of businesses, education, family, and government to the enemy in America.

The great reality of the new era is seven days a week, 100% for and with God. Forget religion’s days and rules. All day, every day, God is present in and with us. Every breath, every word, is to be in order with and for God. We are God’s children, His spirit beings on earth from heaven.

It is natural for us to speak with Him, to converse and commune with Him moment by moment throughout the day. We are fully redeemed in Christ and Christ in us. Heaven and Holy Angels are here among us. We MUST determine to walk with them, WALK IN THE SPIRIT.

You may be thinking, Ron, you just do not understand, I must go to work or do this and that…. In reality, we do not yet see how extreme and world-changing this transition and transformation is becoming. Much, if not most, of our “have to” things are temporal and changing. Heaven and holy angels and Spirit God can go with you wherever you go.

How much of what we do is because we want to have necessities, like a car with the latest accessories, a new cell phone, computers, TVs, internet, up-to-date clothes, prepared food, eating out, special drinks, and other nice things. How about money for the children to go to college to learn how to get by in life without God, and how to get the government to pay for their living expenses? And don’t forget a great vacation trip.

Really, though that last part is a tongue-in-cheek presentation, there is the reality that God is not against our having good things, provided that we seek first His kingdom and righteousness. There is also the reality that God can call us to leave family and lands to follow and serve him and the gospel of the kingdom.

“So Jesus answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s, 30 who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life. 31 But many who are first will be last, and the last first.’” Mark 10:29-31.

The reality is, we do not know what we will need in the new era of God’s governance in this world, in and with His many sons. What we do know is that now is the time for our hearts to change away from religion and secular humanism into WALKING IN THE SPIRIT.

POWER TO OVERCOME

The power to overcome ourselves and everything the enemy has planted in our nation and in us is the Spirit of Christ within us. Spirit Christ abiding in us and us in Him is WALKING IN THE SPIRIT.

We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. The power of God is available to us as we receive His power, walking in the Spirit.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13.
Strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy.” Colossians 1:11.

We are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Romans 8:37.

But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God, all things are possible.”” Matthew 19:26.

Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Mark 9:23.

Walking in the Spirit gives us great courage through the power of Almighty God with us. Holy angels working alongside us, fulfilling God’s will on earth as it is in heaven.

WORKING THE WORKS OF GOD – BELIEVE IN JESUS

John 6:28-29, “Then they said to Him, ‘What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?’ 29 Jesus answered and said to them, ‘This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.’”

Believing Jesus was sent to die on the cross is not enough to do the works of God. Even believing He was resurrected and ascended to heaven is not enough. Believing in Him whom GOD, SENT in the Holy Spirit to abide in us now is enough. It is Christ Jesus and His faith within us that do the works of God now on earth.

Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”

Paul wrote: “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”

We can believe that Christ Jesus was sent in the First Century to be the perfect sacrifice to pay the penalty for all sin, and still not be able to do the works of Christ. We must believe in the one sent to earth to live in you and me now doing His works in and through you and me.

If we believe He is yet coming some day in the future, but not here now, we are forever powerless to really do the works of Christ.

Mark 16:19-20, “So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.

20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.

Christ Jesus ascended, returned at Pentecost, and is now working with His people on earth, while at the same time seated at the right hand of God.

John 14:12, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.”
