Minnesota’s Leftist Obstruction against ICE Yields a Deadly Result

“You can accept that this woman’s death is a tragedy while acknowledging it’s a tragedy of her own making. Don’t illegally interfere in federal law enforcement operations and try to run over our officers with your car. It’s really that simple.” -Vice President JD Vance

[WashingtonStand.com] Rampant fraud committed by Minnesota’s sizable Somali immigrant population prompted the White House to order immigration raids in Minneapolis. Like many operations conducted by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) over the past year, the Minneapolis raids were met with violent resistance: protests in the streets quickly became riots as leftist activists attempted to assault ICE agents. One assault attempt proved fatal. On Wednesday, a woman used her car to block ICE agents. When confronted and told to exit her vehicle, she accelerated and hit an officer, who shot her through the windshield and killed her. (Screengrab image: via X-AZ Intel)

The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) defended the shooting as an act of self-defense. “An ICE officer, fearing for his life, the lives of his fellow law enforcement and the safety of the public, fired defensive shots. He used his training and saved his own life and that of his fellow officers,” the agency’s social media account clarified. “The ICE officers who were hurt are expected to make full recoveries. This is the direct consequence of constant attacks and demonization of our officers by sanctuary politicians who fuel and encourage rampant assaults on our law enforcement who are facing 1,300% increase in assaults against them and an 8,000% increase in death threats.”

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem classified the female driver’s actions as “an act of domestic terrorism,” commending the ICE agent who “acted quickly, and defensively shot to protect himself and the people around him.” In a subsequent press conference, Noem lamented, “Any loss of life is a tragedy, and I think all of us can agree that in this situation it was preventable.” She added, “I encourage the American people at this time to pray for [the injured ICE agent] but also to pray for the deceased’s family and her loved ones.”

“Today alone in this country, there have been four different domestic terrorist attacks on federal officers by the ramming of vehicles. Three of them happened here in Minneapolis. We’ve seen over 100 of these vehicle-rammings happen in just recent weeks,” Noem emphasized. She also shared that the ICE agent who shot the female driver had previously been run over and dragged through the streets by an anti-ICE rioter in June and “sustained injuries at that time as well.”

The deceased female driver has been identified as 37-year-old Renee Good, a Colorado native who only recently moved to Minneapolis with her wife, who was one of several people filming the altercation and Good’s death. After Good was shot, the woman who identified herself as Good’s wife was seen on camera faulting herself. “I made her come down here, it’s my fault,” the woman said. “They just shot my wife.”

President Donald Trump said in a social media post that he had reviewed the footage of the shooting, which he described as “a horrible thing to watch.” He further asserted that “The woman screaming,” presumably referring to Good’s wife, “was, obviously, a professional agitator, and the woman driving the car was very disorderly, obstructing and resisting, who then violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE Officer, who seems to have shot her in self-defense.” The president said that he was amazed that the ICE agent survived being hit by the car before proceeding to fault Democrats and their anti-ICE rhetoric for the increase in violent attacks against ICE agents. “he reason these incidents are happening is because the Radical Left is threatening, assaulting, and targeting our Law Enforcement Officers and ICE Agents on a daily basis. They are just trying to do the job of MAKING AMERICA SAFE,” he asserted. “We need to stand by and protect our Law Enforcement Officers from this Radical Left Movement of Violence and Hate!”

In a press conference following the shooting, Governor Tim Walz (D) announced that he is planning to mobilize the Minnesota National Guard, although it was unclear whether he intended the soldiers to serve as crowd control in case of further riots or as opponents of federal law enforcement. “We have been warning for weeks that the Trump administration’s dangerous, sensationalized operations are a threat to our public safety, that someone was going to get hurt. Just yesterday, I said exactly that. What we’re seeing is the consequences of governance designed to generate fear, headlines, and conflict,” the governor claimed. “And today, that recklessness cost someone their life.”

“From here on, I have a very simple message: We do not need any further help from the federal government. To Donald Trump and Kristi Noem, you’ve done enough,” Walz stated. “I’ve issued a warning order to prepare the Minnesota National Guard. We have soldiers in training and prepared to be deployed if necessary,” he added. “And these National Guard troops are our National Guard troops. They’re teachers in your community. They’re business owners. They’re construction professionals. They are Minnesotans. Minnesota will not allow our community to be used as a prop in a national political fight.” The Democratic governor, who announced earlier this week that he will not seek reelection, characterized anti-ICE protests as “a patriotic duty at this point in time.” When asked if the National Guard will be “deployed against federal agents and insurgents,” Walz responded, “Well, I said this yesterday, we’ve never been at war with our federal government.”

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey (D) also hosted a press conference responding to the shooting. “To ICE, get the f*** out of Minneapolis,” the progressive mayor said. He continued, “Somebody is dead. That’s on you. This was an agent recklessly using power that resulted in somebody dying.” Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), a Somali immigrant and among the most vocal of Trump’s opponents on immigration issues, condemned the immigration raids as “state-sanctioned violence,” further averring that the ICE agent’s use of force Wednesday constituted “murder” and that claims of self-defense are “delusional.” Minneapolis City Councilman Jason Chavez (D) similarly referred to the Trump administration’s self-defense justification as “making up fantasies,” suggesting that the ICE agents could have simply moved out of the way of the SUV speeding towards them. He quipped, “The ICE agent did not have to murder somebody today. They could have just moved out the way.”

ICE agents have been conducting immigration raids across the country, ever since Trump returned to the White House nearly one year ago, but DHS surged an additional 2,000 ICE agents to Minneapolis this week in the midst of an ongoing, widespread fraud scandal centered on Minnesota’s sizable Somali immigrant population. The billions of dollars of fraud committed has grabbed national headlines, resulting in Walz’s decision to terminate his reelection bid and serving as the catalyst for numerous investigation.

The US House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform hosted a hearing Wednesday, questioning Minnesota lawmakers on the extent of the fraud and how that fraud could have been permitted. Witnesses identified at least $9 billion that had been stolen through fraud, with Somali immigrants scamming welfare programs intended for hungry children, autistic children, and low-income households and individuals, in addition to defrauding programs like Medicare and Medicaid and COVID-19 relief funds. Republican state representatives Kristin Robbins, Walter Hudson, and Marion Rarick testified that fraud allegations dated as far back as 2011, but that Democratic officials, including Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison, silenced and retaliated against whistleblowers and covered up for fraudsters. Hudson pointed to the abuse of day care funds as symptomatic of the fraud epidemic. (Screengrab image: via X)

“The recent focus on child care fraud is not an isolated scandal,” Hudson told federal legislators. “It is the latest manifestation of a pattern that has repeated itself for decades across different programs, populations, and funding streams.” He pointed to a bombshell state audit conducted by the nonpartisan Office of the Legislative Auditor. That report raised serious concerns over the abuse of the Minnesota Department of Human Services’ Behavioral Health Administration (BHA) and its grant program. According to the report, BHA handed out nearly $430 million to 830 organizations between July 1, 2022, and December 31, 2024, failing to keep track of how those funds were spent. Auditors discovered progress reports were missing, as was evidence of mandatory monitoring visits to grantee organizations. Furthermore, auditors seemingly found backdated information and reports and newly-created documentation that had not existed prior to the audit.

Rarick informed the Oversight Committee that Minnesota Democrats had repeatedly attempted to block auditors and had even threatened auditors in some cases. “The most severe one was that they would be fired with cause so they couldn’t have unemployment insurance, that they would be blacklisted from all state agencies Hennepin County, Ramsey County. As you know, those are Democrat-run,” the Republican state legislator testified. She shared that the Minnesota Department of Human Services has largely ignored fraud and has instead “focused its surveillance on employees,” generating a climate of fear within the state agency’s ranks. Employees “have explained that they live in a constant state of fear of retaliation,” Rarick confirmed, noting that the number of state whistleblowers has increased from less than 500 Department of Human Services employees in January of 2025 to over 1,000 state employees across multiple agencies as of 2026.

State employees have not only been threatened with job termination, but some have even reported veiled threats against their families and their children, Rarick shared. In other instances, employees reported that their emails and chat messages have been monitored, with state agencies flagging words like “fraud,” “double-billing,” and “overpayments.” She also pointed to an episode in which Walz’s lieutenant governor, Peggy Flanagan (D), publicly ridiculed whistleblowers at a Health and Human Services equity conference, referring to those reporting fraud as “weirdos and losers sitting in their mother’s basement.” Rarick charged that Walz himself “absolutely knew” about the widespread fraud and embezzlement his administration was permitting and facilitating.

Following the hearing, Rep Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) said that she has “enough evidence” to suggest that both Walz and Ellison were “knowingly complicit in a Somali fraud scheme in Minnesota.” She accordingly referred both Democratic officials to the US Department of Justice for criminal prosecution. “May justice be swift. The American people are tired of being taken advantage of.” Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here

“…The United States respects the voice of the Iranian people and their aspirations, and remain committed to supporting their push for prosperity and greater opportunity.” -Message to Iranian people from the US State Department

[Breaking Christian News] Developments are occurring very rapidly in Iran, as the Iranian people-fighting for their freedom-continue to force members of the IRGC out of the cities, setting some government buildings on fire, and remaining in the streets, not backing down. (Screengrab image: via Tousi TV)

The exiled Crown Prince gave a directive to the people earlier this week to chant in the streets at 8pm on Thursday and Friday, as a way of measuring the amount of influence he has, and ability to lead the people.

Meanwhile, there are reports of the US and Europeans moving forces in place, to back the Iranian people.

Reports Tousi TV“US Delta Force are repositioning outside the Iranian border, and also there are over a dozen US strategic air lifters crossing the Atlantic toward the Middle East. Delta Force have now pivoted to the Middle East, with Army Rangers and air assault forces from Europe also being repositioned rapidly. The United States, as well as the British are refueling tankers now headed into the region.”

Tousi notes that the US State Dept sent a message to the Iranian people, who have renamed one of their roads “Trump Street” and have repeatedly thanked President Trump for his support. “…The United States respects the voice of the Iranian people and their aspirations, and remains committed to supporting their push for prosperity and greater opportunity.”

The internet has now reportedly been completely disconnected by the IRGC. But those with StarLink will still have internet access, as Elon Musk has repositioned StarLink satellites over Iran.

In addition, according to Tousi TV, the Islamic regime has begun arresting journalists who have reported on the ongoing revolution, and regime members are said to be seeking support from France for escape.

The situation is very fluid, and especially since mainstream media is largely ignoring what’s really happening in Iran, we will try to keep our readers updated.  Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here

[ChristianPost.com] In what officials say is the most significant reset of federal nutrition policy in decades, US Department of Health and Human Services Secretary (HHS) Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and US Department of Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins released updated dietary guidelines for the 2025-2030 period, including a re-imagined “food pyramid” prioritizing protein and vegetables over carbohydrates. The guidelines were released as part of the launch of RealFood.gov, an official government website with a simple diagnosis: “America is sick.” The site points to data showing half of all Americans are either prediabetic or diabetic, while 75% of adults report suffering from at least one chronic condition. … “For the first time, we’re calling out the dangers of highly-processed foods and rebuilding a broken system from the ground up with gold-standard science and common sense,” the site states… Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here Click Here to read.

“…Many economists questioned President Trump’s focus on trade deficits, with some going so far as to suggest that the tariffs would backfire and actually widen the trade deficit. That view-alongside forecasts that tariffs would cause inflation to move significantly higher-has been challenged by months of data showing declining deficits and little-to-no broad pricing pressure from tariffs.” -John Carney, Breitbart News

US trade deficit fell to its lowest level in 17 years, since 2009!

The US trade deficit narrowed sharply to $29.4 billion in October 2025, the smallest gap since June 2009!

CNBC reporter Rick Santtelli was thrilled with the numbers out today.

Rick Santelli: “Buckle up, THIS IS UNREAL… $29.4 billion, we cut it IN HALF!… “In March it was $136B. Now, under $30B. We haven’t been that small in a long time-I don’t have enough RECORDS to go back that far!”… Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here

“…The end of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting signals that real structural change is underway in Washington.” As he further emphasized, “Kudos to the Trump administration. Its defunding strategy is dismantling decades of the Left’s entrenched infrastructure within government…” -Family Research Council President Tony Perkins

[WashingtonStand.com] The Corporation for Public Broadcasting’s (CPB) Board of Directors voted to officially dissolve the organization on Monday. According to a press release, the decision comes in response to moves from the Trump administration and within Congress to pull its federal funding. (Image: Pixabay)

Nearly 60 years ago, authorized by the US Congress under the Public Broadcasting Act of 1967, CPB’s roots trace back to a time when commercial broadcasting dominated the airwaves, and there was a push for alternatives that prioritized education and public service over profit. Signed into law by President Lyndon B. Johnson, the Act aimed to create a system free from political interference, emphasizing “strict adherence to objectivity and balance.” Over the years, federal appropriations formed the backbone of CPB’s budget, often exceeding $400 million annually in recent decades, with peaks around $525 million before the cuts-with roughly 70% of funds distributed to local stations.

However, in May 2025, President Donald Trump signed an executive order to terminate federal funding for public media outlets such as CPB on the grounds that its reporting failed to be “fair, accurate, unbiased, and nonpartisan.” Only months later, the Senate passed the Rescissions Act of 2025, effectively cutting $9.4 billion in federal funding flowing to CPB and its affiliates. This included $1.1 billion specifically earmarked for public broadcasting through fiscal years 2026 and 2027. This rescission package, which also targeted foreign aid, passed along largely party lines, with Republicans arguing that taxpayer dollars should not subsidize what they (and many others) perceived as ideologically slanted content.

In response, CPB had sued the Trump administration as it began scaling down its operations-and to no avail, it would seem, in light of their final decision announced Monday. The dissolution process, set to conclude by late January 2026, involves “the responsible distribution of all remaining funds in accordance with Congress’ intent” as well as the preservation of archives in partnership with institutions like the University of Maryland and the American Archive of Public Broadcasting.

The organization ultimately pinned the blame on “sustained political attacks that made it impossible for CPB to continue operating as the Public Broadcasting Act intended.” As Patricia Harrison, president and CEO of CPB, put it, “When the Administration and Congress rescinded federal funding, our Board faced a profound responsibility: CPB’s final act would be to protect the integrity of the public media system and the democratic values by dissolving, rather than allowing the organization to remain defunded and vulnerable to additional attacks.”

Echoing this, Chair of CPB’s Board of Directors Ruby Calvert claimed “what has happened to public media is devastating,” adding that “after nearly six decades of innovative, educational public television and radio service, Congress eliminated all funding for CPB, leaving the Board with no way to continue the organization or support the public media system that depends on it.”

Calvert ultimately expressed optimism that “public media will survive, and that a new Congress will address public media’s role in our country because it is critical to our children’s education, our history, culture and democracy to do so.” As Harrison went on to claim, “public media remains essential to a healthy democracy.” The corporation’s statement concluded: “While CPB’s chapter is ending, the mission of public media endures. Local stations, producers, journalists, and educators across the country will continue serving their communities, informing the public, and elevating local voices.”

The news of closure has sparked a variety of responses nationwide. While CPB officials and their supporters are lamenting the loss of what they describe as “trusted news, educational programming, and local storytelling,” many others have taken to celebrating. Conservatives, from government officials to everyday citizens, have argued that the closure does not diminish these values but instead advances them by moving away from what they see as an organization that pushed left-wing, government-funded content. And these sentiments echo long-standing criticisms that date back to Republican officials like former President Ronald Reagan and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, who attempted similar defunding efforts but were thwarted by Congress.

Fast forward to now, and Family Research Council President Tony Perkins observed how “this is a very significant development. The end of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting signals that real structural change is underway in Washington.” As he further emphasized, “Kudos to the Trump administration. Its defunding strategy is dismantling decades of the Left’s entrenched infrastructure within government. Too often, Republican administrations merely hit the pause button on the Left’s projects-allowing them to resume the moment power changes hands. The Trump administration, by contrast, is hitting the eject button.”

Several members of Congress echoed these remarks, with Rep. Michael Cloud (R-Texas) stating, “The closure of the comes on the heels of a tenure dedicated to censorship and leftist ideologies. The organization garnered our tax dollars and made products through NPR and PBS that lacked competitive viewership and undermined American values and free speech.” Similarly, Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) referred to CBS  as “the scheme bureaucrats used to funnel taxpayer money to NPR and PBS,” emphasizing how its closure is “great news for every American who doesn’t want their tax dollars funding left-wing opinion journalism EVER again.”

As public media transitions to reliance on private donations and other revenue streams, some fear a fragmented media landscape. Others, however, view it as an opportunity for more trustworthy news and storytelling, with less government influence, to finally take the stage. Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here

“Life is a tragedy as well as a glory. … Gratitude has been a large measure of what has sustained me.” -Dennis Prager

[CBN News] Dennis Prager, the conservative radio host, writer, and co-founder of PragerU, shared an update on his health after suffering a fall that has left him paralyzed from the neck down, saying the key to remaining joyful in the midst of suffering is remaining grateful. (Image: via PragerU-YouTube /CBN News)

The 77-year-old gave more details about his health journey in a second interview with PragerU CEO Marissa Streit. The pair discussed a variety of topics, including faith, family, and “America’s moral crisis,” but he also touched on the “miracle” that he is living out despite being confined to a wheelchair.

“So let me give everybody an update because I really believe, as I did before, in transparency,” he began. “So I remain paralyzed. But the biggest work, in fact, virtually all the work that has been done has been to enable me to breathe better because the … nerves to my diaphragm have been severely injured.”

“In fact, a number of doctors, independently of one another, have described the fact that I am talking as a quote ‘a miracle.’ And these are not religious people. I am cognizant of how lucky I am to be able to speak,” he continued.

PragerU announced in November 2024 that the co-founder suffered a severe spinal injury at the C3 and C4 vertebrae, which affected his diaphragm and movement below his shoulders. He did not sustain any brain damage. Despite efforts last June to return on-air, Prager faced a few setbacks.

He noted in his recent interview that even in the midst of tragedy, he is also experiencing a new level of gratitude.

“Life is a tragedy as well as a glory,” he expressed. “That gratitude is everything. Gratitude has been a large measure of what has sustained me.”

The New York native says he is grateful for the life he lived before the accident, and that his accident doesn’t dictate his outlook.

“And why would that leave? Because I had this terrible fall. Why would the gratitude be shattered? Do all those years not count? Everybody has to ask that question.”

“People who have terrible things happen go, ‘Why me?’ But they don’t go, ‘Why me’ when great things happen? ‘Why me? have good health. have a good marriage and good friends,'” Prager added.

He continued, “Happiness is a serious problem. And I am very grateful that I have a nature that has, as Dr. Steven Marmer put it in an interview…I have great shock absorbers.”

Prager says there is only one thing that bothers him more than his own health condition: the state of America’s moral condition.

“I’ve been very worried for decades, and what I had not anticipated, until a few years ago,” he explained, sharing that he began to grow concerned when he wrote the column, “America First, But Not America Only,” in 2006.

“Too many of the leading intellectuals on the right have gone to ‘America only,’ and I don’t understand how they justify that, if they are religious people,” he told Streit.

“One of the dominant themes of the Bible is do not stand by on the blood of your neighbor,” Prager explained. “In other words, you can’t adopt the attitude of ‘me only’. [It is] one of the five most famous dictums in all of Jewish teaching.”

“‘If I am not for me, then who will be for me. But if I am only for me, what am I?’ That’s how America and Americans should think,” he continued.

“Yes, we are first for America, just as we are first for our family. There are a number of firsts. But anyone who is only for their family or only for America is not a moral person,” Prager expressed.

Finally, Prager, who was raised an Orthodox Jew, discussed the state of Israel and shared how supporting the nation comes down to one moral question.

“The biggest reason to support Israel is not a faith argument. It’s a moral argument,” Prager said.

“And I asked one simple question: What would happen if Israel decided, ‘You know what, we’re going to stop fighting. We’re relinquishing all our weapons, and we will not fight’?” he said, noting, “On the other hand, what would happen if the Palestinians said, ‘We will not fight. Here are all our weapons’? OK. So, what would happen in the case of the Palestinians relinquishing violence and war and terror and giving up their weapons, there would be peace the next day.”

He argued that would not be the case if Israel made the same decision.

“If Israel did that, there would be literal genocide. The Israeli Jewish population would be largely wiped out,” he explained. Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here
