Recently, I heard the Lord say, ‘Don’t look back! You are being delivered into the new season.’
When the Lord spoke those words, the story of Lot’s wife (Genesis 19) and Isaiah (Isaiah 43:18-19) surrounded me. I could feel a warning from the Lord’s heart that it is very important in entering into the new season right now, which the Lord is moving many into, that eyes are fixed upon Him and fixed ahead for what He is doing.
As I leaned into the Lord and listened to His heart, I heard:
‘My people, do not be distracted by days gone by. Do not be distracted by past seasons and the longing for “what was.” I am calling you higher, I am calling you forward, and I am calling you into a new day. My voice is before you and I am beckoning you into a new day that I have for you. I say unto you, be not tethered to “what has been” or “what was” but keep your eyes upon Me and eyes ahead, for I am about to do wonders in your midst.
‘I say unto you, that I am delivering you from all that has held you bound in past seasons. I am severing and untethering you from things that have held you down, kept you contained and have been attempting to hinder you from moving forward. I am delivering you from the heavy weights that you have been carrying as you come to Me, and I am bringing you into deeper realms of rest in Me (Matthew 11:28) than you have known. I am bringing you into deeper depths of freedom in Me – that is your inheritance – than you have walked in before.
‘I say unto you, there are significant encounters with Me awaiting you for the new season that is upon you. I say unto you, I am wooing you into deeper depths of My heart to see, perceive and receive My heart, My revelation, My wisdom and My strategy for the days ahead. For I say unto you, that as you come before Me in humility and surrender and seek My face, you shall see in ways you have not seen before. For I shall give you sight and insight for the days ahead that shall be your guide, and I shall be your anchor and strength. For I say unto you, I am bringing you forth into a place of deeper direction by My Word that is a light unto your feet and a lamp unto your path. (Psalm 119:105)
‘I say unto you, it is very important right now that you consecrate your heart and consecrate your heart’s focus right now. Do not allow your eyes and the focus of your heart to be swayed or turned to the left or to the right, but keep your eyes firmly fixed upon Me and upon what I am saying and where I am leading you. For I say unto you, eyes up! I say unto you, eyes front!
‘For many of you have been tethered to past seasons because of the battles, woundings and pain that you have endured in these days. But I say unto you, a greater untethering is taking place by the power of My hand and I am bringing you deeper into the place of yielded surrender. I am bringing you deeper by My Spirit into deeper places of freedom, and in this new season you shall run with a strength that you have not known before. You shall run not in striving but you shall run in an empowerment of My Spirit that you have not known before.
‘You are entering seasons of greater expansion of what I am doing, but it requires an even more ferocious focus upon Me and where I am leading you, and upon My Word. For there will be many distractions and things that will attempt to lead you in many different directions. But I say unto you, that as you come into the secret place and you hear My voice, I am bringing you into depths of clarity, discernment and insight by My Spirit that will lead and guide you in the days ahead.
‘I say unto you, in this new season, not only shall you flourish in greater places of freedom in Me – as you yield to Me and My ways – but I say unto you, that you shall know a deeper revelation of your oneness with Me and a greater understanding and sensitivity of moving with Me and My Spirit, in My ways, as you surrender to Me and listen to My voice.
‘For I say unto you, not only shall you see flourishing freedom in this new season in greater ways than you have seen and known, but you shall see the delivering forth of that which I have placed inside of you in greater measure. The River, My River, shall flow, flow, flow from within you in this season with greater intensity than you have known, as you draw deeper into the secret place and follow My leading.
‘Do not believe the lie of the enemy that what “was” and what you have experienced in past seasons and the longings of these past seasons are far greater than the season that I am leading you into. The enemy is lying to many of you to attempt to keep you bound. The enemy is attempting to entangle the focus of your hearts and your eyes and longings, to keep you focused on what “has been” rather than the expansion and the glorious new move of My Spirit that you are entering into.
‘I say unto you again, “DO NOT LOOK BACK.” Do not partner with nostalgia, but keep your eyes on Me and look to Me. Do not look back and abort that which I am leading you into. Look forward, look to Me. There is only one place for looking back, My people, and that is to rejoice in what I have done. But there are many who are looking back in longing for what “HAS BEEN” and “WHAT WAS” and I say unto you, sever your agreement with it. Sever your agreement with what has been and what was and surrender to the untethering.
‘For I say unto you, there is FULLNESS of joy in My presence (Psalm 16:11) and I am bringing you deeper into this place of knowing My joy as your strength. (Neh 8:10) I say unto you, in this new season I am bringing you into, it is one of expansion for many and there will be stretching in the deliveries by My Spirit that shall come forth. But I say unto you, OH THE UNPRECEDENTED JOY that you shall know and experience IN ME. See what I am going to do and the move of My Spirit that I am inviting you into, the greater works that I am calling you to co-labour with Me in. You shall know joy like you have not yet known in watching what I am going to do and My power in your lives and through your lives.
‘Do not look back with longing for what was, My people. A new day is dawning and I have new ways and new pathways for you. I am bringing you into a season of fullness of destiny in Me and what I have written over your lives in what I have called you to, on a level that you have not experienced before. There is a greater fullness before you to walk in as you follow Me.
‘This moment is significant. Steward it well by not looking back. Watch the new horizons that I am bringing you into; where you will see that I am leading you into your greatest days in Me, in partnering with Me in what I have called you to do and where I am leading you. The days of My manifested Glory being released through your lives – as you live in purity, humility and surrender to Me and My ways; truly, deeply, abiding in Me – are before you.’
