Former Trans Kids Warn Others – ‘Don’t Do It!’

Eighteen-year-old Chloe Cole, a self-described “former trans kid,” is leading the fight to protect children from transgender surgeries. Chloe de-transitioned following years of taking puberty blockers and an irreversible double mastectomy at the age of 15.

“We need to stop telling 12-year-olds that they were born wrong, that they are right to reject their own bodies and feel uncomfortable in their own skin. We need to stop telling children that puberty is an option, that they can choose what kind of puberty they will go through. My childhood was ruined along with thousands of de-transitioners that I know through our networks. This needs to stop,” she said.

In her book, Detrans: True Stories of Escaping the Gender Ideology Cult, Mary Margaret Olohan writes that many of these young people wanted to “find themselves” and had no idea of the impact transitioning would have on them.

“They were told that the reason that they didn’t feel comfortable at school, the reason they didn’t have a lot of friends, the reason that they didn’t feel special, is because they weren’t in the right body. And that if they got into this right body that all of their problems would disappear, and they would feel happy and content and fulfilled. And of course, this is a lie,” Olohan told CBN News.

She contends that what proponents label “gender-affirming care” is really puberty and hormone blockers, followed in many cases by gender mutilating surgeries in which there is also no going back.

“A lot of these girls got double mastectomies, which is called ‘top surgery’, before they were legal adults. In fact, I’ve heard of girls who are so mentally ill as all of these young detransitioners are. They were so mentally ill that when they went in for their double mastectomies, they asked the doctors, how long will it take for them to grow back because there’s no understanding of what’s actually going on here,” she said.

“There’s no proper explanations from the doctors about what the ramifications of these procedures are. And so, a lot of these girls go into this thinking that they’re going to emerge looking just like a boy with a perfectly flat chest. But at the end of the day, what they’re left with is very gruesome looking, scars that lace across their chest that are black. So, these are just very invasive and tragic surgeries,” Olohan said.

As more de-transitioners start telling their stories, Olohan sees a common denominator among the young people who are now regretting their decision to transition to a different sex.

“I would say yes. And there comes a point where they think, okay, I’ve done what I was told to do. The doctor said I would be better and be happier after this. And then there’s a moment where they realize, ‘Wait, I’m not happier. I’m not better. I still have very serious mental health issues.’ And for a lot of the de-transitioners, that’s the point where they wake up and realize, ‘If I was lied to about this, what else was I lied to about?'” Olohan said.

Olohan says that although parents share responsibility, they are often faced with a frightening ultimatum by doctors who ask: “Would you rather have a dead daughter or a living son?”

“And they look the parents in the eyes, and they say this, and the parents love their kids, they do not want their child to hurt themselves. And so, they trust the doctors and they move forward. And so, this is truly a really incredible betrayal by the medical system,” Olohan said. (Screengrab image: via CBN News)

And while these kids are celebrated when they “transition”, Olohan says those who then try to reverse it can face attacks or rejection.

“If a de-transitioner speaks up and says, ‘I went through those puberty blockers, I went through the hormones, I got the surgery and I’m not better. In fact, I’m much worse and I’m missing body parts,’ that completely contradicts the narrative that these trans activists are selling that transitioning is beautiful and brave and wonderful and will only make you happier,” said Olohan.

“And so, when de-transitioners speak up, they’re met with a lot of hate, a lot of vitriol, a lot of bitterness and anger, and they’re told that you were never actually transgender and that you’re a traitor. All kinds of horrible things. And let’s not forget that the de-transitioners themselves used to feel very lonely, very awkward; they desperately wanted to fit in. So, this is incredibly hard for them when the group that accepted them and told them they were special and brave for being transgender is now saying, ‘Get away from us—you’re scum,'” Olohan said.

As for Chloe, her testimony before Congress has helped change the way states look at gender-affirming care. Today, half of all US states ban puberty blockers and surgeries for young people under 18, and more states are expected to follow. Chloe says she and thousands of others have been the victims of one of the biggest medical scams in American history.

[PJMedia.com] The nation was left reeling Wednesday after a tragic shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis, where a gunman killed two young children and injured several others. Authorities later identified the shooter as a transgender-identifying male with radical left-wing views—a detail the media was quick to downplay. Sadly, this has become an all-too-familiar pattern. In his monologue, Watters detailed cases of shootings, firebombings, and ideological extremism, and accused politicians of placing ideology over child safety.

Watters began with an unapologetic charge, linking a recent Catholic school shooting to a broader trend. “So a suicidal transgender who hates Trump’s Christians and Jews shoots up kids at a Catholic school, and the media wants to take away your handgun. So how are we supposed to protect ourselves from trans shooters?” he asked, before accusing the press of deliberately ignoring what he sees as an undeniable pattern.

According to Watters, this is not an isolated phenomenon. “The media’s bad at pattern recognition. We aren’t. Just two years ago, another trans 20-something walked into a Christian school in Nashville with a rifle and shot three kids and three adults. They buried the manifesto and locked down the case. We’ve seen trans shootings in Colorado and in Maryland. They even shot up an ICE facility in Texas. And it seems like half of Antifa’s trans. But when Watters raised this concern, he noted that officials like Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey jumped to shut it down. He played a clip of Frey at a press conference earlier in the day when he said, “Anybody who is using this … as an opportunity to villainize our trans community or any other community out there has lost their sense of common humanity… We should not be operating out of a place of hate for anyone… We should be operating from a place of love for our kids.”

Watters pushed back against Frey’s statement.

“I don’t hate anyone who thinks they’re trans. I feel sorry for them. But statistically, the trans population has been prone to violence. That’s not villainizing, that’s reality, and if you can’t recognize reality, you’re in danger. We love the American people, especially American children, and if they’re troubled and believe they’re somehow a girl trapped in a boy’s body, we wanna get ’em help. “The FBI is investigating this shooting as an act of domestic terrorism and hate crime targeting Catholics,” Patel reported in a social media post. “The FBI will continue to provide updates on our ongoing investigation with the public as we are able,” Patel wrote, providing details of the tragedy:

“There were 2 fatalities, an 8-year-old and a 10-year-old. In addition, 14 children and 3 adults were injured.

“The shooter has been identified as Robin Westman, a male born as Robert Westman.”

While a biological male, Westman identified as transgender, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem reported in a post, citing the violent, hateful comments scrawled on the murder weapon:

“We have confirmation that the shooter at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis, MN was a 23 year-old man, claiming to be transgender.

“This deranged monster targeted our most vulnerable: young children praying in their first morning Mass of the school year. This deeply sick murderer scrawled the words ‘For the Children’ and ‘Where is your God?’ and ‘Kill Donald Trump’ on a rifle magazine.”

“This level of violence is unthinkable. Our deepest prayers are with the children, parents, families, educators, and Christians everywhere. We mourn with them, we pray for healing, and we will never forget them,” Noem wrote, offering her condolences to the victims and their loved ones.

…The FTC is seeking out public comments about gender ideology. The FTC announced on July 28 that it’s looking into “potential deceptive and unfair practices” involving what is inappropriately called “gender affirming care.” Gender affirming care meaning hormone treatments, puberty blockers, and gender reassignment surgeries.

Federal agencies open rules up for “notice and comment,” a process by which citizens have a chance to weigh in on regulatory rules and policies. It’s a way to not just communicate to federal agencies but the wider public about issues. In this sense, anyone can become a citizen journalist.

Heritage Action for America recently launched two separate community portals to make it easier to submit public comments to the Federal Trade Commission and the Environmental Protection Agency about some of their current initiatives and regulatory proposals.

Earlier in the year, Heritage Action launched a similar portal for comments to the FTC about Big Tech censorship. The result was a deluge of comments explicitly accusing Big Tech companies of censorship and suppressing speech.

This time, the FTC is seeking out public comments about gender ideology. The FTC announced on July 28 that its looking into “potential deceptive and unfair practices” involving what is inappropriately called “gender affirming care.” Gender affirming care meaning hormone treatments, puberty blockers, and gender reassignment surgeries.

The FTC, according to National Review, is investigating cases where Americans “have been exposed to false or unsupported claims” about such treatments to “gauge the harm consumers may be experiencing.”

Heritage Action noted that the FTC is “taking an important step toward public transparency by evaluating whether children, parents, and families have been misled by radical gender ideology.”

It also said that citizens can personalize their submission “by sharing examples of false data, advertisements, social media posts, disclosures, or empirical research that have harmed children and families.”

The EPA is also seeking comments from the public on the repeal of an Obama-era rule that regulated vehicles and engines based on the so-called Endangerment Finding.

“Since the 2009 Endangerment Finding was issued, many have stated that the American people and auto manufacturing have suffered from significant uncertainties and massive costs related to general regulations of greenhouse gases from vehicles and trucks,” a press release by the EPA stated. “Finally, EPA is proposing to provide much needed certainty and regulatory relief, so companies can plan appropriately, and the American people can have affordable choices when deciding to buy a car.”

EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin said the proposed rule change will “end sixteen years of uncertainty for automakers and American consumers.”

Heritage Action also commented on the destructiveness of the Obama era rule:

Countless regulations that devastated American energy and raised prices for families through regulations under the Clean Air Act were based on faulty climate science. These regulations have been squeezing gas powered and even hybrid cars out of the market and forcing an increase in the sales of electric vehicles (EVs) in order to achieve an overall net carbon emission reduction. In addition to rescinding the Endangerment Finding, this proposed rule would also remove all existing regulations that require new motor vehicles to comply with emissions standards.
