THE END OF THE JOURNEY IS THE BEGINNING – Ron McGatlin

THE JOURNEY

The world is now enduring the beginning of an extremely climactic season in the journey to the kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven.

The fullness of the kingdom of God on earth is probably much closer than we may think. It is only a few principal changes away from us. It is not all about changing our minds or learning new ways to conduct ourselves. It does not come about just by changing our behavior or going to Church more often.

This world has been on a gradual downward spiral away from God and His ways, with now and then upward events since the first century. There was a great increase in the rate of degeneration beginning after World War 2 in the late 1940s. The rapid decline has taken us to widespread darkness of satanic evil at a level not seen since the Dark Ages of history. Even many once godly people have been deceived by the cunning degradation of the generations.

The deception of God’s people is now being cleared away by the light of the love of God filling their hearts. Many people are seeing the evil for what it really is and are ready to make a change.

The fullness of the kingdom of God on earth does not come just by truly falling in love with God. It certainly does start there, but the fullness is beyond falling in love with God.

IT IS ABOUT BEING GOD TO MANKIND AND THE WORLD!

It is about becoming the presence of God to the people and the world around us. It is God in our bodies and minds being who He is and doing what He does for the people and the world around us.

As sons and daughters of God, we are what He is. If we were the son of a duck, we would quack and walk like a duck because we would be a duck. If we were the son of a deer, we could run like a deer because we would be a deer. As we become sons of God on earth, what or who are we, and what do we do?

Jesus came to earth and suffered greatly to bring many sons to glory. “For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.” Hebrews 2:10.

The glory of Christ Jesus is manifesting through God’s chosen sons. This is the spiritual work of Spirit Christ manifesting in the many sons of God.

THE NEXT MAJOR PRINCIPLE AFTER FALLING IN LOVE WITH GOD IS BECOMING TRULY SPIRIT LED

After we have fallen in love with God in such a way that causes a sensation of love consuming us as an overwhelming ache in our hearts, we are ready to live in and walk in the Spirit.

When we live and walk in the Spirit, our conscious mind no longer leads us. It becomes subservient to Spirit Christ dwelling within us. Our subconscious becomes “Christ conscious,” which leads us. “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.” Romans 8:14.

This is the end of the journey as a son of Adam and the true beginning of being a mature son of God in Jesus, manifesting God’s glory in the world. The end of the journey of our past life can be a suffering experience; our natural Adamic mentality often considers that surrendering control is like death, and may battle fiercely to maintain control of our lives.

Often, it requires severe brokenness in life to make the breakthrough to being led of the Spirit. Adverse circumstances, the closing of doors, and the end of some relationships, along with increased persecution, may be used to cause us to willingly shut down the old and move into the new Spirit-led life in Christ. “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.” Romans 8:18.

All of the created world is blessed and changed, “because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now.” Romans 8:21-22.

SONS OF GOD CAN BECOME MIGHTY DELIVERANCE ARMIES

Strength and wisdom of God can build great prosperity and a powerful army to destroy the evil that seeks to destroy the people of God and His kingdom on earth.

All who will not repent and continue to oppress His people will not prosper and will eventually be removed from this life. God’s love that blesses all who come to Him also destroys all who seek to destroy His chosen people who are in love with Him.

Harshness and the use of vile force by man attempting to rule over God’s people never ends well for the harsh rulers. Quite often, there is a military takeover and significant destruction of life and property in a transition to new rulership.

KING DAVID, SOLOMON, AND REHOBOAM

Biblical History also reveals examples of corrupt kings oppressing the people, being removed by a God-sent ruler who comes to power and starts a lineage of increasing prosperity and well-being of the people.

King David was a “biblical type” of Christ Jesus and moved his nation back toward God and His ways. He was also quick to defeat or destroy evil or ungodly forces that threatened the people of God.

King Solomon, David’s son, who ruled after David, was a very wise man and the kingdom prospered greatly under him, but he was not a man of war to destroy evil like David. He was a king who enjoyed extravagant, luxurious living. Degeneration had already begun again in the next generation in the season of extravagant prosperity.

King Rehoboam, Solomon’s son, who ruled after him, no longer had the wisdom of his father or the godliness and strength of his grandfather and was a very unwise king. He had little or no respect for God’s people and treated them harshly. He denied the wise counselors who had advised his father and went with the advice of his peers of the same generation, which led to grave disorder for King Rehoboam. (2 Chronicles 10:3-19).

A degradation of the ruler and nation can come back sometimes after only a generation or two of godly rulers. It is important that in the advancing of the kingdom of God, ALL evil darkness be cleansed from the world. So that the kingdom of God will never degenerate through the generations.

Solomon had built an extravagant temple for God. Jesus, in the many sons of God by the Holy Spirit, is building glorious Spirit temples within the many sons of God who will no longer degenerate back toward darkness. Instead, they will regenerate the kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven. (1 Corinthians 3:16-17.

We are getting back to the charge from God to, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Genesis 3:8.

THE END OF THE JOURNEY INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD

The extremely climactic and traumatic season is the manifestation of Christ Jesus in the many sons of God, arising to turn the world to God in love with Him, and the destruction of the evil ones who will not turn to God.

Jesus came to take away sin and destroy the work of the devil. Sin is deviance from the order of God. All creation is to be ordered by the love of God. Walking in that love and power is the work of Christ Jesus, King and Lord of all. (1 John Chapter 3).

God is Spirit, Christ Jesus is Spirit abiding in our spirits, determining who we are and what we do. The big secret is to simply walk in that Spirit.

WALK IN THE SPIRIT and not in our natural minds and understandings.

Faith that does not manifest is not faith that works. Faith works by love. Love is the way of becoming one with God as true sons of God, hearing, seeing, and moving in the Spirit with God.

ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD

The change to walking in the Spirit and not in our natural mind’s understanding may not be as difficult as it may seem. Most believers have experienced an urging or a still, small voice that we may have supposed was our intuition or just a thought from our mind. It may be as much of a feeling in us as it is heard.  Sometimes, we even realized later that it was from the spirit and not a random urging. Other times, we just feel something but see no natural reason for it, and just let it go.

Walking in the Spirit is developed as we wait and pay attention to what we are sensing within. We may not always need to understand and figure out what to do and when to do it from our understanding. God has much more knowledge and wisdom about it than we do. Spirit God within us will commune with us and lead us as we come to Him for advice rather than our own understanding.

Practice considering seriously what you sense from within and taking time to ask God about it. However, if it is an urgent or strong sensation, it may save your life to respond quickly. God will work with us to train us in small matters to prepare us for the more significant times when we need greater ability to hear and obey His Spirit leading in our lives.

When God was training me in this, I lived on a farm and often, as I was leaving the house to go to the barn to work, I would sense that I needed to take a tool with me. There was no reasonable need for that tool in doing what I was going to do. So, I would just let it go as just a thought. But sure enough, something would happen that caused me to need it, and I would have to walk all the way back to the house to get that tool. I learned to listen and just do it when I sensed or heard it. With practice over time, it becomes much easier to hear and obey.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the Lord and depart from evil.
8 It will be health to your flesh,
And strength to your bones.” Proverbs 3:5-8.
