THE SPARK THAT IGNITES THE WORLD – Ron McGatlin
Wow! This is one of those times!
When I asked God what he wanted to say to His people in this article, He first gave me the title only. To put it mildly, I was astonished. He did not elaborate further at that time. I was not ready to ask Him for more because it seemed too big and too awesome to hear suddenly. I felt that I needed some time and space just to be ready to hear. I know that, if I hear, I must move with it as He leads and that can have major repercussions in my life and relationships.
He said THE SPARK, and not “a spark” and He said ignite THE WORLD not a part or portion. I felt a bit like Barney Fife on The Andy Griffith Show when he says something like “Andy this is big, this is REALLY BIG, I MEAN THIS IS REALLY REALLY BIG!!!”
My mind thought of the small spark that starts a roaring forest fire, or maybe like the lightning strike seen around the world in scripture, or the shot heard around the world in the American Revolutionary War, or maybe an atomic explosion, or the total sudden collapse of our nation and others, or some glorious worldwide manifestation of God filling the skies, and so on. Something like any of those things could happen at some time and cause a worldwide reaction.
Today, Thursday, December 28, 2023, I prepared myself, sat down in my recliner, turned on my laptop, brought up the document with the title only on it, and asked the question. What does this mean, what do you want me to know, and write about this? His reply is just as profound but entirely different from anything I had thought about.
More than a sentence of words His reply was an experience of His presence with me in pure holy love. He imparted to me that the SPARK that He is sending to ignite our lives and the world is in the HEART of you and me and many others. We then went on a spiritual journey into the massive love reality that I can give you only major parts of in the rest of this article.
A ROMANTIC LOVE SONG WORDS FROM GOD’S HEART
The words of an old popular love song from the 1980s that I had not heard or thought of in at least twenty years appeared in my spirit. I was astonished again as I looked up the song and listened to it again. It was God speaking directly and exactly the message of His spark in my heart. It changed all the “Big” I had imagined. As I heard the song it was God speaking to us now and our response to Him!

Please listen to it as if it were Father God speaking to me and you and our reply to Him. “I Don’t Want to Set the World on Fire” sung by The Ink Spots. The second line is, “I just want to start a flame in your heart” It is not long please listen to it all the way, especially the spoken part.

God loves the world and does not want to burn it up.
He knows if we are completely in love with Him, He will be able to do all that is needed in this world to bring forth His perfect love solution.
THE SPARK IS THE FLAMING FIRE OF FALLING IN LOVE WITH GOD THAT IGNITES THE WORLD WITH HIS LOVE.
The spark igniting my heart and yours in total love brings complete alignment and full release of the ultimate power of God to do what the world has never seen before.
Dwight L Moody and others said it this way, “The world has yet to see what God can do with a man fully consecrated to him.”
Moody had a very poor mother, an alcoholic father, and no education. God used him in a mighty way in his day and through recent history in the works he left in place. We today have much more revelation of the kingdom and love than anyone had in his day.
THE DAY OF CULMINATION
In this day of culmination of all things we have no idea of that which God can and will do with the fire of His love fully ignited and burning within me or you. The spark is the INTENSE LOVE that is igniting now in hearts on a huge scale like never before in History. It will ignite and change the world with the ultimate supernatural power of the love of God.
But it all begins NOW in one heart, YOURS. Do not look for someone else or some group or a wave across the land.
I must not look for some other person to receive the spark and become a flame of love fire of God. This is the end of me and mine. The end of natural life. Now consumed in the fire of God there is only supernatural Spirit fire life. Every breath is feeding the fire. Every thought is a flame of supernatural love in God.
COME! THE SPIRIT SAYS COME!
“And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.” Revelation 22: 17.
COME AWAY WITH ME!
“My beloved spoke, and said to me:
‘Rise up, my love, my fair one,
And come away.
For lo, the winter is past,
The rain is over and gone.
The flowers appear on the earth;
The time of singing has come,
And the voice of the turtledove
Is heard in our land.
The fig tree puts forth her green figs,
And the vines with the tender grapes
Give a good smell.

God is not speaking to you and me about just taking out some time from our busy lives on a retreat for a season. This may be a step of some value. However, God is speaking of total consummation in His love to be full-time employed in His supernatural life. No matter where or what He leads you to do and be His supernatural love life is who you are and what you do. No more pretending or holding back and tolerating corruption as if in agreement with it.
Love leads the way to help supernaturally cleanse the hearts of those around us entrapped and trained by wickedness. Love does not promote and esteem itself. There is no pride in love but the peaceful strength of true humility in godly wisdom from above.
The spark of ignition clicks into place in the hearts of others and the fire of supernatural love spreads heart-to-heart effortlessly.
LOVE CLEANSES AND PURIFIES
Forgiveness is automatically and instantly in place. Giving and receiving are without pomp or ceremony. “White lies” of social graces and worldly pretensions are abhorred and not needed or used. Religious routines and platitudes are washed away forever. Conversations and interactions are real and pure. There is no more unreal and phony in our practice and performance of that which we used to call our “Christian lives.”
The spark of the real supernatural LOVE and LIFE is received by those around us and the fire rapidly spreads to IGNITE THE WORLD with pure supernatural love!
THE SPARK THAT IGNITES THE WORLD
The flame of fire that changes the world is not the fire of REVIVAL, but it is greater and revival is part of that which results. It is not the fire of EVANGELISM and HARVEST of souls, but that comes with it. It is not a great FAITH movement or HEALING and DELIVERANCE, or PROSPERITY or JOY and LAUGHTER, nor is it FALLING on our faces in REPENTANCE and it is not more REVELATION or KNOWLEDGE and it is not SHOUTING and DANCING, but all that and more takes place in this FIRE OF BEING IN LOVE WITH GOD.
It is the manifested supernatural spiritual reality consumed in the intimate presence of God. It is the overtaking of the supernatural Spirit replacing our fallen limited natural life.
Love never fails and,
His kingdom never ends.
