PROPHETIC DREAM OF OVERCOMING HINDRANCE TO TRUE REVIVAL – Ron McGatlin

A few days ago, God gave me a dream that continued seamlessly as a vision while awakening. In the dream, I was in a home-like setting with two large rooms in an L shape joined by a large opening rather than a door. A lot of people were gathered in both rooms for the purpose of praying for revival. I felt as though we had been seeking revival for ourselves and our country for some time with no real results.

In one room the people were actively talking among themselves. Mostly they were discussing revival with many differing thoughts and ideas. They were not arguing or debating but were expressing different and sometimes conflicting ideas about revival.

In the other room, the people were sickly looking and not very active. Some were laying down on cots but most were sitting up. None of the people in the room looked healthy and lively like the other group, but all were seriously seeking revival.

I stood in the lively room near the opening between the two rooms.

Feeling very desperate in my heart from seeing our lack and need for real revival, I cried out in my heart to God, “God, why can’t we have revival now? What is hindering us from real revival?”

Instantly, God replied clearly in my heart. “Ask these people, ‘Where is Samantha.’”

(Samantha is not the name that He spoke but one that I supplied later. The name He spoke to me was blocked by God from my memory for a purpose. I heard the name and remembered it clearly at the time of His speaking it.)

In my heart, I felt that the name seemed like a young girl’s name and that she had the answer to my question about revival. I said loudly so that both rooms heard, “Where is Samantha? I believe she may have an answer for us.”

Both rooms became totally quiet and the faces of the people all were turned toward me. They all had sober and somewhat stunned or astonished blank looks on their faces. So, I asked the question again, and for several seconds longer the rooms were totally quiet. Then one person spoke out with some concern and reservation in his voice and said, “We don’t know where Samantha is.”

I looked around the room and all had the same blank look. I took a couple of steps to see everyone in the sickly room and they all looked the same way. No one moved or made a sound. I had the feeling that they all knew Samantha and were astonished that I was asking for her.

As I looked around the room, I saw something that I had never noticed before. I wondered if it had always been there and I just had never noticed it.

Many times, Barbara and I have been driving along the road in our home community and I would see something and comment on there being a new store or whatever and she would laugh and say something like, “that’s been there for two years.”

In the far-left corner of the room, there was another area or small space about five-foot square added to the room. On the left side of the small cove or room, there was a narrow door that looked like a closet door. I felt led to go over and see what was there.

I opened the closet door and it was totally dark inside the closet. The light of the room did not penetrate the closet. The light stopped at the door facings and the darkness remained.

As I peered into the darkness, I began to make out a perfect cube in the center of the upper half of the closet. The perfect cube was about five or six inches on all sides, somewhat brownish in color with some shiny chrome-like shade on the upper side edge of the cube. I could make out the semblance of a face on the front of the perfect cube.

I knew that this was a spirit because the cube was not on a shelf or suspended from anything, but was firmly floating in the midst of the darkness. I also knew it was a spirit of darkness because it was in darkness that did not respond to the light. I later realized that the darkness could have only remained against the light by the authority of a human being allowing the darkness.

I asked the cube, “Are you Samantha?” I was taken aback with some shock or surprise as I heard the voice that replied. I have been involved in many encounters with spirits of darkness in deliverances and inner healing for people in different situations over the years. Never have I dealt with such a voice from a spirit of darkness. This voice was more like a spirit in darkness than a spirit of darkness.

The voice was that of a young woman or girl that was more pleading and submissive than combative or violent.

To my question, “are you Samantha?” she replied, “That is what they call me.”

I knew from her reply that was not her real name. I said, “That is not your real name, what is your real name?”

She began to beg and plead with me too, “Please, don’t make me tell my name.”

This is where it really got strange to me at the time. I began to feel God’s genuine love for her.

Keep in mind the years of experience and learning that are part of my ninety years on earth and over sixty of those years seeking to serve God. I know to hate the devil and love the person, and that the devil can pose as many personalities. He is a master of counterfeiting. Yet, I also personally know the inner voice and the heart of God.

The love of God that I felt for this spirit in darkness was the sincere pure holy love of God. (More on this later in this writing.)

Samantha continued to plead with me almost pitifully to not make her reveal her real name. I listened and calmly but firmly told her, “You must now tell me your name”. She quietly replied, “Pride is my last name.”

With this reply, I knew she had another name and I thanked her and said, “I know you have another name, what is your first name?”

She begged and pleaded even more than before not to make her reveal her real first name. I listened for a while and then thanked her again for revealing her last name. And told her that she must now reveal her first name. She said, “My first name is Religion.”

And immediately began to plead again with me saying, “Please do not make me go away”. “I am here for the people. They need me. I am really trying to help the people! You should not send me away. Please do not send me away.”

I replied, “The best thing that you can do for the people is to go away. You know what must be done here.”

She said, “Because you have loved me, I must go now.”

The cube dissolved, it just melted away and disappeared as I watched. It did not go poof or drip down as a puddle on the floor it just dissolved.

Immediately the light of the room filled the closet with light. I closed the closet door and stepped back into the sickly room.

As I walked back toward the opening between the two big rooms, I looked back toward the little room or cove and saw the main wall begin to move toward the corner closing off the little room. I watched as the wall moved all the way to the corner of the room. It was as if the little room and closet never existed.

The sickly people looked more alive with bright faces and seemed to be getting better. The people in the other room were more at peace and seemed to have more care for one another and less focus on differences. Everyone had a fresh brightness about them.

I felt we were on the way to real revival and that the blockage or hindrance had been completely removed.

The dream and vision ended and I did not see the revival come to pass in this dream but felt sure that we were on the way.

I am continuing to receive more and more about what each part of the dream and vision really means and will be glad to hear what you see and hear from it.

I have received more understanding of this spirit and the love of God as I continue to meditate and study it.

UNDERSTANDING GOD LOVING THE SPIRIT IN DARKNESS

Many years ago receiving the revelation of the mystery of Christ actually in us by the Holy Spirit was life-changing to me. It was like Christ’s Spirit was in me, in one part of me and my spirit was also in me. I had to choose which one I followed or walked in.

In more recent decades God showed me that spirit is like air and not like solid matter. The word pneuma is from a Greek word meaning air. It is translated in the New Testament as air and wind and as spirit or Spirit. Wind is air in motion with power. Jesus taught on spirit as wind that you cannot see and don’t know where it comes from or where it goes.

“The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” John 3:8.

When two batches of air get together in the same space, they become ONE AIR and not two. When the Spirit of God comes into our hearts, He does not remain separate from our spirit. They become one Spirit as the dominant air completely overcomes the lesser air and can eventually completely replace all trace of the less dominant air or spirit.

The wind or Spirit activated and in motion can become a hurricane or tornado powerful enough to change the face of the earth. Or it can become a gentle breeze of refreshing and healing.

THE SPIRIT OF RELIGIOUS PRIDE

The spirit of religious pride is a mixture in process of the spirit of man without God seeking to bring his air or way and the Spirit of God moving into the heart of man to cleanse and change man’s way to God’s way.

It is Christ’s Spirit air overcoming man’s spirit air of darkness. We are now being set free from man’s past religious ways and devices of trying to be like God. We are being filled with the fresh light of God dissolving the remaining pride of man and his developed form of godliness without the power and love of the real life of Christ in us.

The manifest presence of God and His love is the key to the melting away of man-made religious forms. God’s love in us is setting the people free to become one with God. God’s presence of love in us is bringing forth the kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven.

That which we call revival can fill the room when the old has passed away. Religion truly has been a very helpful and needful part of showing forth at least the form and the written word. Now the REAL is coming and the form is passing away and the written word has become the living word of God in real life on earth.

Our deep-rooted PRIDE in our religious past does not want to leave us. That part of our air (spirit of religion) that remains mixed within us must dissolve. Only the pure LOVE of God can fully cleanse our spirit air and subsequently cleanse and heal our souls and our bodies.

God truly loves the intent of religion because it truly is trying to help the people. God loves the intent and the past usefulness of religion. That is why in the dream, I felt His love for the spirit of Religion and its Pride of trying to protect the purity of the word and do the right thing.

LOVE IS GENTLY REMOVING RELIGION AND ITS PRIDE FROM US AND REVIVAL BEYOND ALL IMAGINATION IS ON ITS WAY NOW!

(I would like to read your comments on what the Lord shows you about this dream.)
