Many have prospered by following the rules and dictates of the Babylonian system. Much money was made, abominable activities were not just accepted but championed, and Babylon was in control. Revelation 18:3 says, “The kings of the world have committed adultery with her. Because of her desires for extravagant luxury, the merchants of the world have grown rich.” Under the rule of the Babylonian government people made a lot of money, engaged in a lot of immoral activities and propagated a lot of humanistic thinking. When Babylon is ruling all of these things seem so desirable, so the people under this Babylonian system echo the ideas of this system.

Little do most people know, this system rules over all seven mountains of society, so people believe what they are saying is truth, it cannot be altered or changed. But little did they know Daniel 2 says, “As you watched, a rock was cut from a mountain, but not by human hands. It struck the feet of iron and clay, smashing them to bits. The whole statue was crushed into small pieces of iron, clay, bronze, silver, and gold. Then the wind blew them away without a trace, like chaff on a threshing floor. But the rock that knocked the statue down became a great mountain that covered the whole earth.” The statue is the Babylonian system, the rock is Christ. Jesus Christ struck this system and it crumbled and for 2000 years the great mountain that is Christ has been growing up little by little. It started as a rock, but is now a mountain about to revealed for all to see.

Those who prospered under the Babylonian system are about to submit to the kingdom of God governmental rule. The kingdom of God is a system of righteousness, peace and joy. A system of justice and generosity, grace and truth. It is going to change everything and captives will be set free. Paul says, “Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ” (Colossians 2:8). Many have been taken captive by the thoughts of men, but the revelation of Jesus Christ is going to set the captives free. What you are about to witness is going to give you so much to be thankful for, it is still the year of the Mountain of the Lord!
