The Mystery City Is On Fire

Babylon is Burning 8.6.22

Two days ago the Lord spoke to me through Song of Solomon 2:12 saying, “The flowers have already appeared in the land; the time has arrive for the pruning the vines (singing), and the voice of the turtledove has been heard in our land.” The Lord was crystal clear, no matter what we hear on the news it is time to sing!

Yesterday, I wrote a blog called Smoke Alarm and shared an experience I had of waking up at 2:12am and the smoke alarm going off. A friend of mine, Clay Sikes in Georgia, contacted me and said, his smoke alarm went off the same night mine did, but his said, “Fire!” The Lord said, Joel 2:1-2 (212) was the verse, blow the trumpet in Zion, sound the alarm on my holy mountain, for the day of judgement is at hand.

This morning in prayer the Lord spoke to me about the smoke alarm and said, “Babylon is burning.” I knew when Israel would capture a city, they would burn the city to the ground after they plundered it. Babylon is burning…yes, listen to Revelation 18 says, “She will be burned up with fire; for the Lord God who judges her is strong.” And it says, various groups of people will lament over her when they see the smoke of her burning. “Babylon is burning!” Henceforth, why the smoke alarm is going off.

In addition, today, I receive an email from my friend Clu in the Northeast part of the USA and she speaks about today, August 6, 2022 at sundown being Tisha B’Av of the 9th of Av on the Hebrew Calendar and she explains how this day in Jewish history has severeal tradgedies associated with it. For one, on this day, both temples were destroyed by their enemies. First temple was destroyed by the Babylonians in 586BC and the second temple was destroyed in 70CE by the Romans. What Babylon and Rome being highlighted today? Yes, because we are witnessing the fall of the iron and clay kingdom once and for all (Daniel 2).

Tying this all together, it says in Revelation 18:20 “Rejoice over her (Babylon), O heavens, and you saints, apostles, and prophets, because God has pronounced judgment for you against her.” No wonder the Lord said, Sing; then He released the sound of the smoke alarm; and now He says, Babylon is burning. My friends, God is fighting for us in a way only the Bible understands. What is our response to be, SING! REJOICE! You can’t make this stuff up. Babylon is burning!
