Charting A New Way Forward

These are urgent days full of challenge and opportunity.

We face a parallel between the 1st and 21st Centuries.

When the Gospel first burst upon the scene it faced-off with the messianic statism of Rome. The early Christians were forced to choose between Christ or Caesar as lord. Fortunately, history records their choice, and the result: the victory of the Gospel in the evangelisation of Europe, and from there to the whole earth.

The 21st Century is no less epochal, with the same stark choice before us—the choice between messianic statism or Christ as Lord. And, if we make the right choice, we will witness the re-evangelisation of Europe and the West—the renewing and advance of Christian civilisation, in fact, the increase of the Kingdom of God in history.

However, for this to occur, we need to understand that he is not only Lord of the church but also the culture—of its laws and values by which it lives. When a culture changes its god, it changes its laws.

And so, with the West’s rejection of God, he is now being exorcised from its institutions: the courts, the legislature, the press, the media, the arts, and the academy. And, tragically, the greatest betrayal is the church, as whole congregations and denominations commit apostasy over the definition of human sexuality, denying God’s creation-categories of male and female. The battles to change the cultural mindset and its laws re homosexuality, gender-identity, and, hence, discrimination, inevitably suppress the freedoms of speech and religion. We have rejected our God and, inescapably, his laws. And now a new tyranny is upon us! A tyranny of secular-humanist law.

Now is the time to speak up, to prophetically and faithfully proclaim the whole counsel of God to the whole of creation. To call both church and culture back to God.

We are writing to ask you to help us advance the Kingdom of God through the teaching ministry of Lifemessenger.

Like most ministries we look to the Lord to provide through the generosity of his people.

If not already, would you consider becoming a monthly supporter to release the Word of God to the nations?

The great news is, we have a guarantee that God’s Word will do the work!

And we also thank God constantly for this, that when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men but as what it really is, the word of God, which is at work in you believers.

1 Thessalonians 2:13

Regular committed giving is the lifeblood of every endeavour to proclaim God’s Word, whether from the pulpit or through media.

We are committed to facilitating biblical teaching that speaks into both church and culture.

Please stand with us, in partnership, to reach more people with Kingdom answers for today’s dilemmas, as together we chart a new way forward.

We covet your prayers!

Sincerely,
David Orton
