“You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me; and you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life.”

Eternal Life is not found in the Scriptures. Eternal Life is found in Christ.

The Scriptures are inspired by God. They testify of Him:

  • The Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
  • God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days has spoken to us in His Son.

The Scriptures are God-given tools, profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.

God inspired the writing of the Scriptures. He inspires us through the Scriptures. And we can see Jesus in the testimonies of Scripture. We can see the will of our Father being revealed to and worked out in the testimonies of our forefathers.

But, we need to know Christ, the Anointed One for ourselves. We must be born again to see and to enter a kingdom that is not of this world. We need to be led by His Spirit, not by His history!

These things I have written to you concerning those who are trying to deceive you. As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him.

Love,
Don
