I have  heard that ghosts are demons.  There seems to be lots of places that are haunted and the reason being is a horrible death.  Can a ghost be a lost spirit instead of a demon?  Jesus never deny the exists of ghost because he said a ghost does not have flesh and blood as you see me.  It seems in a lot of hauntings there is usually a demonic spirit that keeps the ghosts or ghost in bondage to staying there.

I like to be open to what God's spirit is saying about this.  I don't want to hear opinions but a clear answer from God on this.

Hi Pamela,

In the KJY when the term "ghost" is used, it means spirit..... and _ died, gave up his Ghost, really means his spirit.  We are made of 3 parts, spirit, soul and body.

No where in the Bible do we find any suggestion of ghosts who haunt, etc.  not in the typical horror story sense anyway.  So... if there is any of that stuff manifesting, I assure you... it's demonic activity!

Ok the Lord gave me some what of an answer at a prophetic site.

“My people are full of inquiries in this hour. Inquiries into the time of My return, inquiries into what I can or can’t, will or won’t do, what manifestations are of ME, and what are counterfeits.  And it is good that you should question and ask of ME.  I want you to depend on me for the answers, and not to just go by your own or man’s opinions.  You have never seen what I am about to do, so it is well you should depend fully on ME.  Ask MY OPINION.
 
But I will not answer you if My answer will not fit your own opinion that is in the way of believing what I have to say.  What use would there be to that.  Could you just entertain for once, that maybe, just maybe I know more than you do ?  That I have the answers to every question and inquiry you could make ?  But if you want TRUTH, you must LOVE THE TRUTH more than your own opinion or what has been taught to you.  For if you exalt those things above My truth, then it will do Me no good to speak to you, for you will be unbelieving, then in a very serious predicament.
 
Why not say, LORD, I thought I knew the answer, but if I am wrong, will You show me ?  Don’t hold anything back, but show me the absolute truth, that I may walk in the light as You are in the light.  That is a request I will honor.  Are you brave enough to make it ?
For I tell you I have much to say to you all on issues of TRUTH vs lies that have been taught as gospel.  I have much to tell you of the mysteries of My Word, and the things of heaven, as well as of this earth, but your heart must be open to receive truth, even when it is hard.
 
I AM THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE.  So if you want real Truth, then come to me with an open heart and a will to obey ME, and you can receive all that I have for you.  Rest in My arms and learn of ME.  For I am gentle and humble of heart.  And I want to make you into the same character as My own heart.
 
Sometimes, I take you on searches that are like adventures into truth, not telling you the whole thing, but having you look up the natural to see a parallel to the spiritual and this is so you learn it much better, having something to compare with.  It is also to make learning fun between us.  I love surprises, don’t you ?  I have loads and loads of surprises coming your way.  I have unparalleled ways of revealing My Truth, and revealing the hidden secrets, I have kept for a long time. 
 
Come on an adventure with me, and search My Word, and then I will take you also into searches for hidden treasures as well.  Treasures that are locked up by the enemy and that need freedom.  For I long for My creation to know ME, and to no longer be in bondage to the lies and vain philosophies of men and demons.  I will show you ways to reach them, and how to pray for them.  You will see the travail of your soul and you will be in great JOY for all I do.
Come away with ME, My beloveds and drink deeply of ME.  Eat of My bread and drink of My wine, and rest in MY arms that I may fill you with the fullness of MY LOVE, so that as you share what delights you have found in ME, it will be done in humility, and love, not in an air of superiority, or disdain for those who are not like you.  I love you and I will have My own to KNOW ME as they have never KNOWN ME before.  I want greater intimacy with you.  I never get tired of your questions.  I never get tired of your presence.  I will overturn the judgments of others, and the enemy’s chains will be broken over all who are truly MINE.  For I am polishing you up to show you to the world.  I have a SPECTACULAR ARRAY SET AHEAD to show them HOW BEAUTIFUL YOU ARE.  They will no longer mock as I make you My jewels.

My answer... How do you know that they haunt places where there's been a horible death, or play their death over again like a video?  Is this information that you know for certain, or has it been told you by a movie, tv program, a book, or from a medium?  I sure don't read anything like this in the Bible!

You know one of the best disquises a demon could have would be to masqurade as a ghost!...  Just think Casper is not really a "freindly ghost!"  No such thing as a friendly ghost.  Not such thing as a ghost... period.  However, there are many, many ugly demons..they're not friendly and need to always be cast out when confronted by them.

My oldest daughter, who is 19, watches the program "A Haunting".( this is based on true stories)  I am usually getting ready for work when she is watching this and I hear the TV running.  There is one thing I have notice is that the spirits do not like crosses.  This would be demonic in nature.

They have had some programs where demons had to be cast out of houses.  What I don't understand is why would they call a Catholic priest to do this?  Why not call someone that has the same kind of faith like Kenneth Copleland, Kenneth Hagin ect.

Spirits do show up on pictures and tape recorders and tempertures and energy is measure on devices.  I think it would be cool to go into an anointed service and use the same machines to see how the Spirit of God would show up.

I would love to go into to some churchs and turn off the lights and take pictures to see what would show up.  It would be interesting if any angels would show up or not.
