How to quit thinking like an orphan. Take one scripture. Pull it apart and meditate…

Ephesians 1:5 He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will.
What is predestined? Define it from dictionary. Ordained by God for a purpose.Destined by God for a purpose.

What is destined? Define:-(of a person’s future) developing as though according to a plan.

As you think on this you are planting the seed in your heart that God has a plan, a destiny, a purpose for you and so he adopted you for this plan to fulfill his will.

Next, as I am thinking who gets adopted? Orphans. So I look up scripture on orphans and I find…. John 14:18- I will not leave you or abandon you as orphans, I will come to you. I then want to define adoption.

Define:-To take voluntarily a child as one’s own child. God voluntarily took me as his own. I am not without parents in the Spirit and I have the same rights as Jesus because he is my brother. Next, what is sonship? What does that mean? What rights do I have?.

I look up sonship in the Freedom book and I find…..
Romans 8:14 For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. 15 The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba Father.” 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

So in just a few minutes of study I have a scripture to think on today…I am a child of God, I have a spiritual Father and brother. God planned this because he wanted me and loved me. I have the full rights of inheritance given to me by my Father. I know He will supply my every need, heal me, provide as my parent. I think of this all day long….and the best part is my mind is centered on things above not worrying about the things of this earth…

Finally, I add to what I have studied and meditated….
Ephesians 3:14- For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
